So, on a side note from all this Torres talk, what squad number do you think Suarez will be given? Will he fill no.7 or keep no.16 from ajax (althought soto currently has it)? Or even get the no.9? Also, where do you see him playing? Will he be a straight swap for dirk on the right of a front 3, through the centre where Torres plays, or even 'in the hole'? If Torres stays and decides to play and not sulk, I'd personally see him on the right hand side cutting in.
Number seven shirt would be nice, first signing with Kenny in charge (although he didn't sign him) & Kenny's old number.. Magic combo! I agree, play him on right cutting in further forward than Kuyty...
Give Suarez the number 9 shirt and throw Judas in the Reserves. He can rot there till we sell him to Italy in the summer.
Passed his medical, just waiting on paperwork from Ajax. Been given the number 7, apparently. I'd rather we give him the number nine, whether Torres goes or not. *Don't know if it's even legal to do it if Torres is still here, but that's what I'd like to see.
