I was wondering when the squad numbers will be released for the coming season? I'm about to buy a shirt and I don't want to mess it up!

Lallana all the way for me this season, will his number be the same?

You'd probably be best waiting and getting it printed later. Both kit reveal and squad number announcements were 20th July last year so I'd not think we're far off the numbers :)

I live in Belfast though so I'm getting it sent over and I'm not sure how easy it will be to have printed officially where I live. I'm not going to SMS as much this season as I will be going to away matches, when is the away kit available to buy?

Ah that's true. Away kit is the 14th I think... maybe just wait until numbers are out to order it? Though, one of my friends got his Arsenal shirt printed in Winchester, JJB did Premier League printing...

I can't see there being many changes, I can imagine Jay Rodriguez being no. 9.

    54. Jason Puncheon - I reckon we'll give him some p155 take of a number like this to bring his ego down to size.

I think Tadanari will keep his #19.

Wore that for his previous clubs and for Japan, as well as us.

Fair enough, Move Chaplow to 18 and make 15 a new signing.

I'm old-fashioned enough to believe that the first-choice team should wear 1-11. I accept Adam Lallana wears no. 20 by his own choice, but I can't see us ever playing Lambert, Rodriguez, Guly and Sharp in the starting line-up, so one of them at least, probably Sharp, should have a higher number. Anyway, what about Luke Shaw and JWP?

I expect most numbers will stay the same. Having a high number isn't quite as bad as it used to be, though most players probably want one of the lower ones.

When are these announced? Do they just carry over from last year? Surely they should have them decided before shirt sales begin?

I think Sharp will want number 10 off Guly. Whether he gets it or not remains to be seen, though I imagine he might not keep number 11.

I'd be very confident in Lallana sticking with 20. Is number 5 available for Jos? Some players like to stick with there original numbers for good luck. Guess if Barnard has the number 9 taken from him then that is a strong indication of his future.
    Puncheon should be 45, P45...:p

I think they'll wait until two weeks before the season starts, see what name/number has been most popular, then change it. Switch Lallana to 7, Lambert to 9. Then again, I am very cynical...

I played it safe and have Lambert 7 on the back of my shirt. I was considering Schneiderlin and Rodriguez as well
