Sorry but I can't show what's on the clubs website but the only contentious one is Brian Oviedo has been given the number 3 shirt.
    Thought he was leaving us?

Ross came out and said that he can’t back on time and has been faultless in his effort etc during training so if knowone buys him he will be staying and a good addition imo.

Tbf he never said that it was his agent and again ross has said he’s been putting the graft in so can’t fault him.

He doesn't get off so lightly in my book mate
His agent is representing his wishes. If his agent has misspoken then he's had plenty of time to set the record straight

Putting the graft in....that's what he should be doing anyway

I hope that Catts getting 6 is just a nod to his seniority and not a sign he'll be first choice. I'm not sure what his tortoise legs and vast experience of losing games will bring to a young side on the up. McGeough and O'Nien for me with the youngsters filling in.

Just means expensive salaries on the books until at least the next window though.

They'd better pull their weight and lead by example or the crowds might, rightfully or wrongfully, get on their backs.

Jd that same agent said Honeyman wants to leave too. So will Honeyman get the same treatment? He is our captain after all

As I've said in the other thread Honeyman wanting to move on is a different scenario to a journeyman player like Catts apparently being completely ungrateful to the club that has made him rich.

Honeyman also didn't bitch to the fans.

And Honeyman didn’t have those fans on his back either. Who knows what he’d have done if they'd reacted the same to him. What would you do? I’d do just what Cattermole did. I personally thinks it’s an identical scenario. An agent trying to move a player on, not a player wanting to leave. Cattermole probably does want to leave. I very much doubt that Honeyman did at any point

If we're talking hypotheticals then I don't think the fans would have been on Honeyman's back in the first place because they aren't sick of the sight him turning up in a Sunderland shirt. Chances are though that if they did he'd have been more professional than Catts, he seems mature enough.

I would react like Cattermole did. Most of us probably would. I don’t either re Honeyman by the way (although there were plenty last season who did by the way)

I’m not sick of Catts turning up. But I do think his time should come to an end with us. But I also think he’ll be part of the squad as, from what I can tell, he is a professional who wLl do what he can fir the club. Don’t think he’s one for piss taking. His lack of quality over previous seasons isn’t a lack of drive or want. It’s just he hasn’t been good enough! Just an opinion! World would be a boring place if we all agreed

Yeah well if we're stuck with him and we probably will be because the last bid for him was Stoke in 2009, I certainly won't be giving him any ****, I never do to any of our players.

Also if he plays a blinder this season I'll be as happy as anyone, I don't put any stock in worrying about eating humble pie or whatever if I think someone is poor then I'll say so and if it turns out I was wrong then it's all good.

He's in his 30's and he's only played for 3 clubs. Definitely not a journeyman.

It means someone who makes a living but is average at his job which is pretty much Catts to a T.

Well, I'll be... I always thought it meant someone who had bounced between a load of clubs as well. Every day's a school day <laugh>

Yeah it would make sense if it implied moving around between a lot of clubs but this is the dictionary definition:

    1.
a worker or sports player who is reliable but not outstanding.
    "a solid journeyman professional"

It's a bit generous to old Catts but hey, just about fits.

To be fair imho, he's only lost the plot the last couple of seasons when he was just 1 of a whole squad who'd also all lost the plot.

He should have experience enough, and a footballing brain big enough, to handle this league with ease and to stand out from it.
    Should have!!
