If we were to kick off today I'd be worried. Still no fullbacks. Could do with another CM and a forward.
Yet you have never seen most of the new players play, optimisic is the word...praying and hopefull i am..
Next season will be a struggle but we should be so much better off in the long run with the new scouting network and the young players coming through.
I do have concerns. Not being negative. Looking forward to 2moro and seeing some of the new boys up against what will be a good spurs team. However I expect to see Gardner right back and Colback left back. I know we are looking to strengthen there. Anyone know how many preseason games we have to gel together before the kick off?
We have decent squad players who can fill them roles early on, however, we still have 3 weeks to get players in before the season starts and another 2 weeks after that before the transfer window closes. Not concerned at all.
Currently watching CSKA Moscow v Krylia Sovetev, and with 10 men on 66 minutes CSKA brought on a target of ours from last year, Seydou Doumbia. After 3 mins he equalises, 2 mins later beats 2 men and curls wide, moments later decent shot from range tipped round post, then smashing 1-2 and a wild finish. Just beat 2 men and got chinned, penalty, which he converted. We should go back in for him, as he is a ****ing beast of a striker, and seemingly not first choice at CSKA right now.
Might happen if Ji or Wickham are moved on. Would he only be 3rd choice striker behind Fletch & Alti?
I doubt it mate, he's top, top drawer, and would cost £15-18 million or thereabouts. It's just the fact he was on the bench , this being the first game of the season, that makes me wonder if he's gonna be first pick. They were very, very impressive , 10 men and came from behind to win, some real quality in that side.
Still lots to come. 2 full backs will sign A CM A striker We need to hold on to Sess too. Strength in depth is our key to next season, signing quality is important. For me the key now is signing Danny Rose, the lad is quality and was our best player last year, we need players of his quality throughout the squad.

Not bad but AJ & Giaccherini need genuine overlapping support to be a real attacking force and really stretch the opposition.
