We have a signing! Our own player! First time we've brought in a forward on a permanent deal with more than 10 games' experience in the Football League for what, 3 years? 2 if Parry counts as a forward. Ridiculous when you think of it like that.

Speaking today to a Cheltenham season ticket holder who says that we are welcome to Vincent. Never hit it off last season for them.

He's admitted himself that he wants to get his career back on track. Sounds better as a winger than a striker. I'm sure going by towns history that well then play him as a striker, or wing back...

Could be a similar signing to Wrighty who also came with two previous promotions from League 2 after having had a season in the doldrums- lets hope he is as good a servant to us as Wrighty was.

That is an interesting signing as it surely means that either Winfield or Makawindare are on the way out - I really hope it does not mean that the Goldson to Walsall rumours are true. Can we also sign a specialist right-back please?

Might just mean MM plans on using Grandison as a RB, with Goldson, Tam, Winfield and NPK as CBs. I'd be surprised, though, if that were true - especially with Smith coming through. Suspect it means someone will be shipped out - or possibly, even, that Tam could be used as a holding midfielder like he was (I believe) for Milwall?

i thought MM was going with callum and harry as gk's, we will be relying a lot on youth but need a john terry character at the back, experienced m/fielder and an experieced striker. i would not be against player/coaches.

He is a centre half - very solid for Torquay a few seasons back. It looks as if any two of Goldson, Mkawindare and Winfield are on their way unless we intend to park the bus all next season. Nice to see some early recruiting but can we have two strikers now please?

As we suspected with new centre-backs signing - I have nothing against either of the two leaving but their performances were sadly lacking in quality at times and we need to build something new. Grandison (fitness permitting) for captain anyone?

Goldson is the most natural leader to me, only issue being his youth and possibly not being a starter.

Goldson did make quite a few mistakes in his time at CB in the run-in, but has good potential. I prefer him in his DCM position.

There has been a lot of debate about the two players released today and to be fair we did have a fairly good defensive record until the last few games. What probably doesn't help though is that once you have got the ball from an attacker, is what happens to it next and that (amongst others in the squad) led to the lack of decent balls forward. Saying that, someone tweeted that we had the lowest on target success rate goals out of all of the clubs in L1...

Welcome back Collins - great news! It looks as if the new management mean business.
