Now that the Ross saga is over and we have managed to get serious wedge for him, its time to look at our squad as it stands in a depth chart format, and contemplate the "rush" of new signings. Below is what we have, with players in brackets linked and players in CAPS the one's we'd like to see go (as judged by majority opinion) ... the (L) will be those who will probably benefit from a loan spell at a lower level: KEEPERS Alex Cairns (L) ... Stuart Taylor ... Marco Silvestri DEFENDERS Sam Byram ... Jason Pearce ... Stephen Warnock ... Scott Wootton ... Ross Killock (L) ... Charlie Taylor ... Gaetano Berardi ... Giuseppe Bellusci ... George Swan (Trialist) ... Liam Cooper MIDFIELDERS Rudy Austin ... Luke Murphy ... Alex Mowatt ... AIDY WHITE ... Chris Dawson (L) ... Tomasso Bianchi ... Lewis Cook (L) ... Zan Benedicic (On Loan) ... DAVID NORRIS ... ZACH THOMPSON ... MICHAEL TONGE ... (Adryan - Flamengo) ... Casper Sloth ... (Montenegro - Nacional) FORWARDS Matt Smith ... Souleymane Doukara (On Loan) ... Steve Morison ... NOEL HUNT ... Dom Poleon (L) ... Nicky Ajose ... Billy Sharp ... Mirco Antennuci DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL Nicola Salerno WOULD LIKE TO SEE - Patrick Bamford GREEDY BASTARDS - Kieran Agard ... Frederik Sorensen ... Federico Viviani Let the signings begin!! As soon as newly linked players hit the radar I will update, as well as any outgoing players. Who would you think Cellino is after? Honestly, I have no idea what's going to happen next, but it better start happening quickly because we are VERY short of players across the squad, and this lot as it stands will struggle next season.
There's a guy on Twitter who's at the training camp and Silvestri is already there. He said Bianchi should be there today. Nicola Salerno is also there apparently. EDIT: a (bad) photo ... https://twitter.com/LeedsUnitedIta/status/486408011293159424/photo/1

Nothing announced about Warnock going yet, but will remove him if this happens ... who will buy Poleon? Think best for him is a six month loan and you never know, it might just do him good Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Silvestri deffo training with the squad Bianchi at the venue but not trained yet Rossini rumoured to be on his way and that salerno guy is with the team.
think the Warnock story was a load of rubbish tbh hes been on all the photos of the squad at training
Phil Hay ‏@PhilHayYEP 2m Cellino also says that midfielder Tommaso Bianchi has joined on a three-year deal from Sassulo, with the option of another year. #lufc
Phil Hay ‏@PhilHayYEP 2m Cellino said he is in talks with Swiss-born centre back Jonathan Rossini and is confident of signing him from Sassuolo. #lufc Expand
Phil Hay ‏@PhilHayYEP 4m Transfer news: according to Cellino, goalkeeper Marco Silvestri has now been signed from Chievo on a four-year deal. #lufc
Awesome ... two players in, and boy do we need a 'keeper ... this Silvestri lad has Serie A experience under his belt so hopefully he will shine for us
Tonight they are reporting in Catania that Bellusci is heading to Leeds after saying goodbye to Catania, This is the defender that will be a right old touch for us, top prospect. "Bellusci #Catania, gives the farewell to the Sicilian club. Awaits him Leeds of Cellino." https://twitter.com/ClaudioSalviaCT
I'm taking a stab in the dark here but if Rossani and Bellusci are coming in I think either Pearce, Lees or Wootton will be shown the door next.
Where's the source for the fee being £10m/£11m/£12m for Rossco? Official site says undisclosed. Anyone enlighten me?
Sky News said £11m, and they usually only quote informed figures ... interesting that Cellino has said he wants a striker, I would have thought we need three Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Beasejour or however you spell it has been released by Wigan, definitely a good player and I thought impressed at the World Cup when he played. Think he would solve alot for us if we could get him and would put us on the right track.
Instead of using capitol letters to establish who you don't like. Lets have a look at some home truths. Leedsrevolutions analysis of the team: GK - Silvestri - Most of us don't know **** about this lad, so we can't really judge. But, Kenny isn't looking up to much these days and a 23 (?) year old prospect is more than a over inflated advert for Ginsters. GK - Taylor - Perfect as a second string goalkeeper at Championship levels. We can't really complain at him being brought in as it is obvious he will be number two, and a better keeper than Ashdown in my opinion. Mentions for: Cairns: Third choice, he knows this - although I have never seen him play, there must be some potential. We will have to wait and see. Kenny: Not much to say, as he will surely be leaving. A good shot stopper but no pace at all - his attitude never sit well with me either. Especially after the lucky Yeovil victory LB: Warnock - He is not a Leeds player anymore, apparently. But not so sure yet. Anyway, if he is still with us I feel he has something to offer. His legs aren't quite the same but with a sturdy Centreback partnership he may well blossom. Saying that, he may also be gone for a free - and we won't miss him directly. Still not one of our worst. Mentions for: White: I do really want to give him another chance due to his blistering pace. Last chance saloon for the lad who appears to love Leeds United. Taylor: New kid on the block. Time to pull up those trees in the Championship. Best of luck. CB - Pearce: Established himself and seems the most composed. I still have my doubts if he will be promotion worthy. But he has earned another season with us without a doubt. Mentions for: See, we need to improve here. Without a doubt but here goes: Lees: For every game he looks decent, he appears to loose a yard or two in pace the next game. Will no doubt carve a career in league 1 / lower championship but it's now or never for the local boy. Wootton: Not the best season for the lad. But I see some potential, I see a tough tackling up for the task kind of guy who needs more game time. I'm sure he will stay and play a part. RB: We will sign another Right Back, I'm sure. Sam Byram: Looked amazing one season, looked **** the next. Although injuries played a massive part. Hope he can re-gain his form and become a solid player for us with pre-season under his belt. CM: Mowatt: What happened to this lads fitness. He has something about him but I fear 1 injury could rule him out for the year. Austin: Keep, keep, keep. To get out of this league you need someone who will go that extra mile, we all know he is not the guy we saw from youtube when he first signed. But lord knows to get out of this league you need Austin when it matters. This boy will bleed tears to earn his wage and we will come to rely on that. Mentions for: Thomassi (?) : I honestly know nothing about the lad so won't pass judgement just yet. Norris, the kids etc: This is blatantly an area we need to focus on, Dawson and Cooke (under 18 England lad(? name might be wrong)) have a great opportunity pre-season too make a name for themselves. RW/LW etc: Do we have any direct wingers now? I can't think of any. Strikers: Matt Smith: Well well, son. Great season last year - did a fantastic job and no one can deny him that. Will he score 10+ this season, I think so. That is surely all we can ask from him. Typical big guy, holds up play - perfect for the season ahead Noel Hunt: I am prepared to give him another year. At least he runs for his wage and I think he can play a part this year. How substantial I do not know - but I wouldn't rule him out just yet. Morrison: We all hated him from the start, but same as Hunt - if he wants to be a Championship footballer for Leeds he has a clean slate. He has scored cheaky goals before and I'm not rulling him out just yet. Poleon: In my oppinion we should not sell - I have heard people say he is light weight but I disagree. I think he is rather tough and pacey but with no end product. Deffinately one to keep hold off this season (if he does well in pre season) Apologies if I have missed some players. Overall, I think we will finish mid table but see some more die hard spirit. We need a few more lads to join the team scattered accross all areas - 1 CB, 1 CM, 4 RW/LW and another Striker. But I think we will fight for our victories this year and not fight for our pay cheques. We need a ruthless owner like Cellino to stand a chance. My final mention is to Ross. Thanks for the goals, son. Most loyal player we have had in the Championship days considering, but it is a great deal for us. Apologies if I missed people / spelling mistakes etc.
Overall, we could do with 5/6 players signing minimum. Even then we could do with some young lads breaking through. Although, I don't think we realistically have a chance of promotion this yeah unless we gel super humanly quickly. I do now finally feel we are moving in a good direction - but I can't see this season being an easy one, I think it might be exciting.
