Just read that Bielsa (?) Leeds fined 200,000. Don't agree with this. Hope there is an appeal. Who is pulling the strings at FA?
Let me get this right, Everyone says Bielsa hasn't broke any laws, the FL say they are going to introduce a new rule / law for next season to prevent clubs spying on each other. So how can the EFL fine Leeds 200,000 quid when no laws, or rules have been broken. I hope Radz is going to appeal this and get his solicitors onto it. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/47285098
Morning all Harvey says "Sanctions imposed show actions like this cannot be condoned". This is rich considering his past business dealings.
We’ve accepted it and apologised, I’m guessing we feared a long legal dispute and points deduction could have been a worse case scenario and the club would rather move away from an unwanted distraction.
Don't be afraid to look, Eric, you may just see something worthwhile, something you may find helpful.
Oh I know there are things that could be done but....200K v 170million ? I know where I want everybody at Leeds focused.
Paul Merson Asked what he made of the strange EFL ruling that has only banned spying on other teams training 72 hours before a match, Merson said, “I don’t know why they didn’t just say stop it. 72 hours before… if you’re invited, no problem. I would have just said no, full stop. “The main thing is that Leeds didn’t get punished for points. It would have been terrible. I’d love them to come up. They’re a huge club.”
The more I think about the fine the more ludicrous it is when you throw in it’s okay to spy more than 72 hours prior.
Why train in view from a public road if you don't want anyone to see what you are doing?.Dont they have toilet doors in Derby?
It seems to have escaped most that the £200k also includes 'costs'. Believe me, if lawyers were involved - which they most certainly were! - then £200k is nothing. Our actual fine was prolly only a tenner.
