Are you suggesting that this item of news has to be verified by physically sending a correspondent to Genoa to interview their Chairman? Or have our club confirm it now, alerting everyone else and push the price up?

In the bigger picture, its not headline news, meaning our more respected media have more important stories. The other thing is, clubs do like to keep their business as quiet as is possible, so any leaks are more likely to come from the the country the player is in. Not always the case I agree, and may well be inaccurate. Personally I couldn't tell you what Italian sources are like, but on a slow day for articles, i just thought it was slightly harsh to rubbish it completely...shall we discuss the player and his potential suitability to Spurs now? :emoticon-0100-smile

Reading about him he's a pacy wideman come 2nd striker. However, he'll be 30 in Feb., pace will dwindle from here, and I can't see the price tag for a start.

2nd striker to play off Ade if VdV leaves for Milan, plan B just incase, needed or not?

    Back up for Lennon?

There are possibilities Ens, but I can see what mood you're in so we'll leave it eh! :emoticon-0105-wink:

If VdV leaves indeed...foolish to not have a Plan B incase, yes or no?

We have back up for Lennon already....Who?

You are still insisting its a talksport story when I've already shown you its come from the Italian media.

The Italian press seem to be linking us with quite a lot of players recently.
I think that it might stem from our Champions League exploits last season, as well as our interest in Rossi, who's become a regular in their national squad.

"We seem to have been doing quite well without Lennon, won 3 out of 3 PL games so obviously there are players that can be used in his stead."

...yes we have, that isn't what i said though is it, don't be 'clever' with me please Ens! It's widely known we do not have a 'similar' direct replacement, other players 'doing a job' in his position is not the long term answer.

"Why talksport? - Well maybe, just maybe, that's where the OP said it came from."

If an OP said the sky was green would you believe it? I know you're better that, and when such articles crop up, like me, you do abit of homework on the subject before completely discrediting it.

  11. Evenin all.

I noticed the OP mentioned a story from Talksport and, knowing the reliability of said source, figured that you'd all eagerly converge on the thread to see it, thereby noticing this PC-dumb newbie's humble request (to be read in pitiful toddler's voice...)
    :headbang:

How do you get a photo to show up under your name when you post a msg? I found a great one of jens lehmann shouting at my favourite striker (probably showing him where the goal is!), but haven't a clue how to set it up!

Ta very much for the help.

3-1 to spurs tomorrow- I've got my Evian bottle armed and ready :1980_boogie_down:
