They have won both of their games without Harry Kane starting in either of them. Kane has stated that he will stay at the club this season, but it remains to be seen if he will start on Sunday. Tottenham opened the 2021-22 Premier League campaign against the defending champions Manchester City and defeated them 1-0 as Son’s goal made the difference. They faced Wolverhampton Wolves in the 2nd game week in which Dele Alli scored to make it 2 out of 2 wins for them to start the new campaign. On the other hand, Watford have won one and lost one game to start their 2021-22 Premier League campaign. They opened the new season with a 3-2 win against Aston Villa in a game where they had 3 different scorers, but they lost their second game 2-0 against Brighton. The Hornets will visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the second time since it opened two seasons ago, with Abdoulaye Doucoure scoring in a 1-1 draw last time there. please log in to view this image Andre Marriner will referee Watford's match against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend. Just our luck that Kane's return to action tonight has seen him still in goalscoring form - has two so far. Doesn't bode well for Sunday...
Thanks Mark. Several sites have a 3 pm kick off, but the WFC site says 2 pm, so I have changed it to that.
Team News: Midfielder Juraj Kucka remains a doubt for Sunday's trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Slovakian missed last weekend's defeat at Brighton with a thigh injury. He has returned to light training this week and will be assessed before the team travels to north London. After a midweek clean sheet in the Carabao Cup, goalkeeper Ben Foster will also miss Sunday with a small hamstring problem that he picked up during Tuesday night's victory over Crystal Palace. Striker João Pedro is now running outside and making good progress from the knee injury he sustained in July. Nathaniel Chalobah has recovered from a recent illness and is also working outside with the medical team as he builds his fitness towards a return to full training. Fellow midfielder Dan Gosling remains unavailable due to illness.
Seems to be one fit - another out. Foster must have got injured near the end? Good to see Pedro back training .
On my holidays in the Cotswolds and a Man City fan at our hotel was bemoaning not getting Harry Kane. He wasn't impressed with my assertion that "you can't buy everybody..." Self entitled pri... person.
That will cost City more if Man Ure win the league this year LiVARpool just about held on to a one all draw against ten man Chelsea
Think team might be : Bachmann Cathcart/Kiko/Ngakia Sierralta WTE Rose Cleverley Etobo Kucka (if fit ) /Louza Sarr Dennis Cucho Surely Sema won’t play CM v Spurs ?
No - only on a Sunday as Spurs played Thursday. It's on 5live although I doubt we will get much of a mention unless we play well/win. Apart from to talk about how many managers we go through or why isn't Deeney involved.
Particularly if one is Cathcart who I worry about v pace . Then again Kiko isn’t great defending and Ngakia inexperienced. Can Sissoko play today or not ? Thought he hadn’t signed in time ..
