The first of a straight run of 38 threads by me... We've played them 201 times Games won: 65 Games drawn: 51 Games lost: 85 Last year we came back from 1-0 down and from 2-1 down to win 3-2. Spurs have strengthened but are still utterly reliant on Citizen Kane and Smiling Cheat Son. We have a bunch of new kids on the team and there's nothing to lose. Discuss. And now... to the pub!
Um. Yeah. Okay, so having strengthened, they’re still utterly reliant on one of the best striker partnerships in the game. Not sure how that’s a weakness tbh. A full pre-season under Conte, I wouldn’t write them off being title contenders: They won’t win it though. They’re Spurs ffs. And as you say, we have nothing to lose. In fact, we do seem to play well against Spurs. Anything could happen, and something will.
Opening day of the season, and my first trip to their stadium. So double the reason to look forward to this one.
Looking forward to this and in particular seeing some of new lads. Think we'll play well in spells but without really looking like scoring and get undone by a couple of bits of quality. 2-0 home win.
Interesting fact. Spurs's last title win is closer to Queen Victoria being on the throne than it is to today. Vin
In the two games I've gone to at this stadium I've seen 10 goals in two 3-2 thrillers. So it will be 0-0 this time.
