According to the official Chelsea website we're only going to be allocated 3,000 tickets for this game at Wembley. With Wembley holding 90,000+, does anyone know why we're getting such a miserly amount of tickets for this league game?
Someone doesn't like us. How many are Spurs getting?? Or maybe only 3000 Chelsea fans would bother watching Spurs ????
.....let's hope it's a typo. I really want a ticket for that game. Here's the link and it still says 3,000 at time of writing...... http://www.chelseafc.com/tickets-membership/tickets-home.html#match=none
In case the link doesn't work, here's what is currently written: Tottenham Hotspur Vs Chelsea Tickets for the Tottenham away game will not go on sale on Monday 31 July as planned as the tickets are yet to arrive. Once we have received the tickets from Tottenham we will advertise the ticket on-sale dates. We will receive an allocation of approximately 3,000 tickets situated in level one at Wembley. These tickets will be sold using last season’s loyalty points, as per the ticketing policy. Once this match sells out, we will remove last season’s loyalty points and add the coming season's.
Are the tickets still £30 for away fans? The Spuds will charge their own supporters £50+ for those tickets. Perhaps that's the reason why we may only get 3,000 tickets....plus they hate us with a passion.
I was talking to a Millwall lad in work and he said that the Spuds gave Millwall less tickets than they were initially promised for the ****e Hart Lane FA Cup game.
Someone on the Leicester board posted about this a couple of weeks ago, he reckoned that stadiums up to 30k capacity had to offer 10% to away support. 30k and above is a minimum of 3k with anything above having to be agreed with security and police. Not sure if correct but it sounds right.
......if that's the case, it's never fair that the Spuds can get away with restricting the away support to 3,000 in a 92,000 capacity stadium.
I agree, but it may be down to other people such as the police if they think/claim there is potential for trouble.
The fa won't give them the full 92k capacity. I read somewhere that when Chelsea move there for their new build, we will be given a max of 57k. Don't quote me on the numbers though.
Originally they weren't allowed but it's been overturned and they are allowed full capacity all season. 3000 is also the set allocation for PL games.
Indeed, the dastardly away ticket withholding Spuds will certainly be dropping home points against the likes of us, Man U, Man C, Liverpool and Arsenal as they'll be run ragged on Wembley's big pitch.
