Rangers chiefs are understood to have met with the England international and his agent at a London hotel last night and are trying to thrash out a deal that satisfies both club and player. Tottenham are also in the mix for the 28-year-old London born striker, who became a free agent after he failed to agree terms with Cardiff. I have wondered if Spurs want Bothroyd because of the need for 8 out of the 25 man squad needing to be 'home grown'??? Just a thought seeing as the top premier clubs seem to be buying British at the moment.
