Heurelho Gomes is delighted that Harry Redknapp has left the spurs

Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes is delighted that Harry Redknapp has left Spurs after freezing him out and refusing to let him leave.

QPR, CSKA Moscow and Ateltico Mineiro wanted to sign the Brazilian shot-stopper but the 65-year-old wouldn’t allow it.

“Redknapp barely talked to me,” Gomes told The Sun. “I was playing really well when he hired Friedel. So I was really surprised and decided to ask him about that.

“Redknapp asked me to be calm, because I was his goalkeeper and he trusted me, as he told me. But that didn’t happen.

“In the 2010-11 season, I made only two mistakes but I didn’t give them so much importance and I didn’t think I was going to be sacked from the team because of that.

“I asked Redknapp to let me go, but he said no to three offers for me. QPR, CSKA Moscow and Atletico Mineiro wanted me.

“I was close to CSKA because they wanted me only for four months and I was going to play the Champions League, but Redknapp didn’t allow me to leave.”

As for Green i don't know what the problem is with some.
ALL players make mistakes. How many misses do strikers have over a season that we forget about? or defenders that don't mark a player properly and he scores? Or those dozens upon dozens of corners that cant clear the first defender? Yet if a keeper makes a mistake he carries it for years?
All the players are human and at some point will make a mistake especially if you have thousands of fans screaming at you.

I think were fine, backup keepers have to have the proper mindset to not play but still get on with the other keepers and Cerny is fine for that. Id agree thats wed need to sign someone in the next window if Green got a long term injury.

Having a 1st choice keeper is better than swapping 2 equal keepers like Stoke kept doing.

also, braver keepers will make more mistakes. Green will collect over a hundred crosses and might drop 1 a season and be remembered for it. Kenny never dropped crosses because he never came for them which often led to goals. Dzeko for example.

The Queen called me and asked if I would be willing to lead the country for £50m a year, but my wife told me to turn her down.

Talking bullsh!t is quite easy, isn't it.
