I haven't seen this posted elsewhere, so apologies in advance if it has been but just seen on the BBC website that Spurs have just signed England under 21 defender Eric Dier from Sporting Lisbon for £4m. I wonder if this might result in them being prepared to resolve the outstanding contractual issues with Dawson.

I thought that when I saw it actually. It could mean there's some hope of it coming back to life if this kid pushes him further down the pecking order.

In true Tickles style - TWT.

Dawson doesn't want to come to Hull, if he did it would of been a done deal some time ago. We won't hear anything more on the Dawson matter, it's simply dead in the water.

I think there's something in you undone deal undone deal theory though. He's down the pecking order anyway, Pocc was always going to bring another 1 or 2 of his choice CB's in. If Dawson wanted to come, he'd have signed 3 weeks ago.

I've already had a run this morning, don't see why randomly jumping in the air at the end would help.

Wasn't it suggested that there was an issue with them not being prepared to pay him what he felt he was owed that was stopping anything moving forward?

    Dawson wanted two things

A four year contract, which City were not willing to offer
To be paid up the last year of his contract since being pushed out at Spurs, which they would not agree to

Well the ball is firmly in Spurs/Levy court on this one. Why should Dawson walk away from something he has a legal right to ? It was Spurs and not Dawson who want him out. This wont end anytime soon.

    It always does.

    Wrong. End of.

Well you got the 2nd thing correct. Shame about the first one mind.

I think we've given up on Dawson, we'll be well on with sorting a replacement.

Dont be surprised to see Dawson see out his contract now and leave on his terms.
