Just saw a link on Twitter to the two sides that competed today (Spurs Reserves vs CAFC reserves) http://twitter.com/?photo_id=1#!/davidskillequal/status/138984201537064960/photo/1 Firstly, quite a lot of quality on show from Spurs. I also didn't realise that we had taken Parnaby on trial?!? Secondly, check out our subs! Any idea if Youga or Fortune got a game?
I can't read that link at work, can you list the 2 teams, thanks. Youga and Fortune? In their condition, they'd get slaughtered by a quality Spurs reserve team!
Spurs: 1. Oscar Jansson 2. Ryan Fredericks 3. Daniel Day 4. Sandro 5. William Gallas 6. Sebastien Bassong 7. Yago Falque 8. Jake Livermore 9. Jermain Defoe 10. Giovani Dos Santos 11. Steven Pienaar subs: Ryan Mason, John Bostock, Dean Parrett CAFC: 1. John Sullivan 2. Stuart Parnaby 3. Cedric Evina 4. Freddie Warren 5. Gary Doherty 6. Yado Mambo 7. Ruben Bover Izquierdo 8. Bradley Pritchard 9. Paul Benson 10. Michael Smith 11. Ben Davisson Subs: Pope (GK), Popo, Youga, Fortune.
Parnaby would be excellent at this level, but read the other day several championship clubs were tracking him. Rated him when he was a youngster st boro, but know little about the end of his brum career. Didn't he suffer a serious injury?
Think so, just checked his Wiki and it said he'd had an injury hit 4 years at Birmingham (47 league apps in that time), but I agree, he could be a starter for a lot of top Championship and even bottom end Prem clubs. He was on trial with Leeds a couple of months ago.
Thanks for putting the team up. It's good we can arrange to play friendlies against decent teams, but on paper that looks a very tough proposition against quality PL players (Judas, Pienaar, Gallas, Sandro) and excellent youngsters like Livermore. I wonder if Dean Parrett came on against us... I suppose Tottenham wanted a runout against a team that weren't likely to kick them off the park, and would probably lose, unless they fancy buying the Doc back to cover for Ledley King!
Not too suprised tbh with the line up they had against the Doc and Mambo we where always gonna leak goals. On a plus Benno scored surely he should be above hayes and euell in the pecking order
I'm a big Hayes fan and see his worth to the matchday 16, but if BWP got injured I would rather put Benson in to team with Kermo than Euell or Hayes.
Had a late conversation with a Swindon fan at work who told me that they've just moved for Benson on a three month loan. However, they're facing opposition from Bradford (surprise, surprise) who are looking to make a more permanent arrangement. Remember - you heard this unsubstantiated rumour here first!
What an interesting game. Benson continues to score goals in every game he gets to play in at any standard, and yet we're trying to let him go........I understand it, but can't we just be slightly selfish before the inevitible Christmas injuries hit? Then Youga returns just as we are thinking we might need some support on the left side of the field? 30 mins. Parnaby trial, good player, could be expensive and as said probably wanted by others. All interesting
