Probably a bit late to compete in this league now . As you are here, perhaps you can give us a view on how your team will play on Saturday. Do you see your team going toe to toe with us, or defending deep and try to hit on the break. Couple of your players I really like - Anderson and Rice and if the former plays surely you'll come at us? Looked very good (and unlucky) against Utd - but I haven't seen that much of your team to know if that is typical of how you play.

 

TBH it depends who turns up other than Rice and Fabianski, even when everyone does turn up, it's usually only for a half, rare to see us have 2 good halves in the same match. That said, we've turned up for the top 6 sides most of the time this season (and now I've written that we probably won't). Rice is a class apart Anderson has had some great moments, and is far from the 'lazy' winger the media portray him as, yeah the first couple of matches he was like that, but he chases a lot. The problem is consistency, his touch seems to desert him for long periods. Arnie up front had his best form for us up until China, now I think he tries too hard to prove he's a team player and the selfish streak you need to be a top striker has gone. Defensively, Balbuena seems to bring the best out of those who play around him and we really missed him, that said, our full-backs are a real problem, I don't trust any of them not lose concentration, **** up and give a goal away, Masuaku is the worst for this, he's not really cut out for a LB, would make a better WB/LM but every now and again he hits a purple patch for 2 or 3 games. Fabianski has been a rock.
If we turn up I think we'll win, hopefully we'll come at you strong and you have bigger fish to fry mid-week, and will probably field an understrength side.

We all know how important this match always is for our East End neighbours, so it won't all go according to plan.
If they should by any chance win it, there'll be a right old East End knees-up (not the sort Noble gives opponents!)
all across the part of London where I live. So to spare the pain of that, I'm hoping this famous old Marie Lloyd ditty -
which is celebrating its centenary this year - will act as a good omen and an inspiration.
