http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_7020915,00.html Harry Redknapp is prepared to let Jake Livermore and Bongani Khumalo join Rangers on loan. The Tottenham manager has held discussions with the Scottish champions regarding a couple of possible temporary deals. He regards Livermore and Khumalo as good long-term prospects at White Hart Lane but is not sure they would play regularly this season and feels they could benefit from time elsewhere. Midfielder Livermore, 21, has already had a number of loan spells in his fledgling professional career and Redknapp could now be set to send him to Rangers. "They are looking for some loans and I mentioned one or two lads that we would loan out if they are interested," Redknapp told Sky Sports News. "Jake Livermore I think is going to come through and be a top player. He has a great attitude and is a fantastic boy. "He has been out on loan a few times and he has been unlucky really. Experience "We have got lots of midfielders and he has not really had the opportunity, but Glasgow Rangers were interested in loaning him, and he is a player I would loan out again. That would be good for him." Khumalo only moved to White Hart Lane in January and spent the second half of last season with Preston in the Championship. Redknapp continued: "And there is another young lad, Bongani, a central defender who we took from South Africa, played in the World Cup. "He went to Preston last year when he first came over and he needs to get out and get more experience, but he would do well at Rangers I am sure."
I'm guessing coz he was live in the studio earlier they asked him a million questions and because he loves the attention he gave quotes and plenty for them to print.
Positive deals, was hoping Khumalo got this sort of loan. Albeit defending against giants like St Mirren and Inverness! Any one seen much of Livermore during his loan spells? How does he look now?
The most important question is whether they will they be allowed to play in European competition or not - mainly because it'd be bloody annoying if they got Champion's League experience, whilst the rest of the squad don't...
I'd have thought that they would be allowed to play in it, given that the loans will probably be for the whole season, Croydon. It'll be good experience for them anyway, even if it is only short lived!
