A lot of you wanting to revisit the poll, so here it is. I am still voting for Harry - better the devil you know
I kept it the same as the original so that it could be comparable. Would be happy to change it, but it doesn't appear possible.
Ok I just think the real question is do we want Harry next season or not. We have reasons for that either way. Who should be next is pure speculation.
Maybe we could use the option "Glenn Hoddle" as the A N Other. Not anyone seriously expects Glenn back as manager, and going forward should be the undefined not Harry option?
maybe someone should do a who dont we want? that would narrow things down i think...and a who cant we afford..that would narrow things down further. ideally id want Ancelotti and would vote for him again as i did in the other vote..but as the days pass ill be honest..one day i feel like killing Harry the other i feel like i must back him..im confused!
The whole "Who DON'T we want" thing will not narrow it down. I do not want Ron Atkinson, Andy Townsend, Jurgen Klinsmann, Gazza, Charles Hawtrey, AVB, Glenn Hoddle, Roland Rat, David Pleat, Karen Brady, Any of the Brady Bunch, Me, You, Any character out of Mad Men, Any human under the age of thirty or above the age of eighty, George Graham, Ossie Ardiles, Gary Mabbutt...
Oooh - that's a low blow. Blimey - the word "Ensil" has quickly become a term of abuse. He wasn't that bad - Jesus! For all his faults at least he displayed an ability to know his arse from his elbow fairly often. It's just that he might do it in a rather condescending, annoying way. Anyway, whilst my incredibly funny response obviously did not tickle your funny bone the point still stands that working out who you don't want is going to be of limited help to work out who you DO want.
sorry Lenny pops...i owe u an your right about the word Ensil though. and i disagree because from that list there are managers that are impossible to get..so best to eliminate them so no one has any illusions of Grandeur...therefore the pool does get narrowed and it helps the dreamers amongst us...including myself.
I'm assuming that now Harry isn't our manager his popularity to be appointed as our manager for next season will soar to the giddy heights that some have Moyes, Martinez etc in. Manager who, on limited funds, has proven over the course of a few seasons that he can take a club of Tottenham's size into the mix up the top of the table and regularly deliver top-four finishes? I surely must be talking about Roberto Martinez!
Fabio Capello isn't on the list? This is similar to the situation we had at Newcastle United a few years back with Sir Bobby Robson - he was removed as we 'only finished 5th' If you get David Moyes, you will no longer enjoy the expansive football that 'Arry liked to play... you may as well employ Capello, his record is fantastic.
The fact is that Everton do actually play some good football when they have all their players available - they're only workmanlike when they're missing players like Fellaini and Pienaar.
Well should Arsene suddenly gain some principles and resign because the club sold Van Persie from under him, I'll remind you of your preferences to take over...
Yes, thank you for your usual intelligent, far reaching insight. Now kindly **** off, I'm sure that your Remedial ( look it up) school must be missing you
