After what has been deemed as a poor start by spurs to this season. They are now level with us on points having played the same amount of games. Totally shocked to be honest we really need yo get going and hopefully put a bit of space between spurs and the toffees

It was never deemed to be a poor start by Spurs. In fact wasn't it their best ever start to a PL season? It's their performances which were drawing criticism.

indeed magic,

was more the performances were poor than the results, but we have played all the big teams away from home, only a midtable team to play away now in utd and all the hard games are at home, spurs dont have that.

although not a given rather have our remaining fixtures than theirs.

also most on here knew with the squad they have it was just a question of time before they clicked, just have to hope we have too much and they dont over take us.

This, plus avb was constantly criticised, yet was the 2nd best ever spurs manager. Time Sherwood has come in and doing well too.

AVB never deserved to be sacked. The sherwood honeymoon will end soon. As for us, as I have said, no signings=no top 4. There's quality out there and we may have to pay a bit over the odds to get it. But no CL and we're ****ed tbh

Exactly this. I think they won about 4 games 1-0, and 3 of those were due to penalties which obviously gave them 12 points, but could have easily been 4 points which would make a huge difference in the table now.

On the other hand, we've won a few games by 3 or 4 goals which has drawn great plaudits for the way we are playing, but have still lost quite a few games but they've been forgotten about a bit more due to the fact we performed well in them (City & Chelsea)

Just look at the comparative Goal Differences <ok>

We also won a few 1-0 at the start of the season when Suarez was out so you could apply the same logic to us.

I think Sherwood is doing an excellent job, bringing Adebayor out of the dungeon for one thing, why AVB put him there I do not know. Thought he more than deserved to be sacked, have never rated him, did well with Porto but they still had the Mourinho sheen on them, after that garbage. Sherwood though has got them playing good attacking football, quick, full of movement, always looking to get forward.

Spurs next league game is against Man City, follow by a trip to Hull and they have Everton and Newcastle. Not the easiest run of games.

Everton are the ones to worry about, the derby game is a must win.

Also got to hope Everton and Spurs draw

Under avb....
15 goals in 16 prem games ... 3 pens...never scored more than 2...failed to score in prem 6 times ( v west ham, arsenal, everton, liverpool, city, newcastle) ... worst conversion rate in prem
Dull as **** to watch
Under sherwood
14 goals in 6 prem games....1pen...scored 3 goals 3 occasions...scored in every match....best conversion rate in the prem
Decent to watch

3 nilat home to west ham and 5 nil at home to you were appalling performances

The ONLY thing we have to worry about is ourselves. Every team will be tested during this second half of the season. We have the advantage of all of the top sides having to come to Anfield and appear to have a more even 'spread' of games. All sides will fear injuries and a loss of form as the number of games start to diminish - and hence the opportunity to recover.

Apart from our results we cannot influence what happens to our competition. Therefore there is no point in worrying about them. Concentrate upon ourselves and maximising our opportunities.

Actually yes. Was in hospital at the start of last week and only got home on Thursday. But I promise things will return to normal next week <laugh>

but they've only ever been a couple of points off and everton have been playing well off the back of their loans. I said on block of 4 games we had a must win last weekend.

We're not going to have any option now but to win v everton at home for 4th battle. lose and its serious serious loss. win and it just keeps us going.
