Can anyone give me an update on thier injury situation, could change the game if they dont have a full strength team, i believe we need a 5 man midfield for this one so 4231 would be the best option for us, start Ben arfa but keep santon off untill the wigan game, we dont want to disrupt our defence for the toughest game yet this season.
    im thinking -

    -----------Krul------------
    Simmo Saylor Collo Raylor
    ------Tiote---Cabaye-----
    Obertan--Ben Arfa--Jonas
    ------------Ba------------

This will help us slowdown Modric, Parker and VDV trying to control the game, Marveax. Santon and Best can see game time if the situation is right and i just hope we dont get destroyed becuase that could destroy our sky high confidence.

    My Prediction -

    1-2

just cant see us keeping Spurs players at bay, they have such good attacking players and if they are fit i feel we cant help but concede a couple.

I don't see why people want to keep Raylor in when we've got a top class lb in Santon especially as Raylor's looked like our weakest link in most games.

If we're changing a winning team Santon should be in there too.

becuase if he gets destoyed by spurs attack which is the 3rd best in the league then it could destroy his confidence.

I don't think that's a good enough reason to leave Santon out, what if his confidence is destroyed because he keeps getting left out the squad.

He's not a kid, he's going to have to play against top wingers. This is the guy who man marked Ronaldo out of a game on his Champions League debut.

    My personal team :

    Krul
    Simpson Saylor Colo Santon
    Cabaye Tiote
    Marvo Ben Arfa Guti
    Ba

My bench : Harper, Raylor, Ferguson, Guthrie, Obertan, Sammy Ameobi, Best.

But we all know Pardew will stick with the same team. <ok>

Personally I don't think we'll get anything from this game as I rate Spurs' midfield very highly. Even the backup players like Kranjcar, Sandro and Huddlestone are pretty good players IMO.

Santon's fully fit, he's played 3 reserve games and 3 internationals, it's time for his debut.

Dunno why some people instantly write us off against these teams. Yes, they're a good side, but if it always went the way some people claim, then they'd go bloody unbeaten all season apart from when they face the top 3 teams above them.

I wouldn't expect much from Spurs at WHL, but this is at home at SJP. We have the home advantage and they have the away disadvantage. Whilst they're a very strong side, we're a good side too and certainly capable of beating them if we put in a top class performance.

    Krul
    Simpson - Saylor - Colo - Raylor
    Marveaux - Tiote - Cabaye - Guti
    Best - Ba

No need for real change I think. The defence has been great this season and it's not cos we've got 4 class individuals, it's because they're in a drilled system. Hopefully Santon will get to grips with it (maybe he already has) but putting him in against Spurs is a risk anyway

This. If Cabaye and Tiote are on song then I can see them stopping Modric & co from doing there ''thing''. But I think the danger is out wide with Lennon and Bale running at Simpson and Raylor.. <yikes>.

I have no problem with Pardew keeping the same team, after all, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I do however, have problems with his awful substitutions. You know for a fact he'll take of the two best players and replace them with Lovenkrands and Guthrie and then bring someone else on when it's too late to make a difference.

Because he's done that once? <doh>

And Marveaux coming on was obviously a time wasting exercise, there is a reason for all 3 of those substitutions.

  18. We almost kept a clean sheet last time, and with a weaker time. I know Bale was out, but I won't be wetting my pants over him. Modric is the one i fear the most.
