Good morning or evening (depending on where you are)
Spurs are scheduled to be visiting our shores again at the end of July - this time to Melbourne and because of some minor tournaments currently being played in Europe and and America <whistle>I was wondering what sort of squad would be sent.
It would be assumed that most of our players taking part in these tournaments that the club would be reluctant to have them travel 12,000 miles for a mini comp instead they would be better off resting up for the new season.

They don't do rest anymore it would seem. No doubt the first team will be there and hopefully back in time to travel to Everton. <doh>

Oh whoopee-do! Racking up the airmiles again in search of the pot of gold that is merchandising. While I appreciate it is nice that our fans in the far flung corners of the world can see the team play, it just makes for a really bad pre-season. Don't remember any mention of Bill Nick taking the team to exotic Malaysia and the such in the 'Glory Game'. Just had them running up hills in the park as far as I can remember.

Much as I would love to see all our high profile stars here it seems ludicrous to burn them out before the season starts (Kane for instance looked completely knackered against Wales) as OS has constantly reminded us air travel is just a tiring as playing- sometimes worse!
Surely this was an ill advised thing to do with so many players representing their countries in major tournaments.

And Spurs play both Atletico Madrid and Juventus.
Given the CL rankings we could draw both of them in the group stage
(so perhaps better to put a pre-season downer on both of them) .
