This is the text: Tottenham are now at the front of the queue for QPR’s Loic Remy, with reports from The Express claiming that a deal could be done by this weekend. The France international – who travelled to the World Cup with Les Bleus this summer – was on the verge of joining Liverpool a matter of weeks ago in an £8.5m deal, but the switch collapsed after he failed a medical with the Merseysiders. He has since returned to QPR – the 27-year-old was on loan at Newcastle last term – but despite claims from Harry Redknapp that he could stay for the season, speculation suggests that the forward will be on the move. WANT MORE? >> Tottenham transfer news | Latest transfer news Spurs are understood to be the most likely suitors, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men ready to pay £10m for him. The Lilywhites will have to bid higher than Liverpool did to activate a release clause in his contract, with Europa League not Champions League football present at White Hart Lane. A deal could be done in time for Remy to face QPR this weekend.
At the very least we should drag our feet so he can't play against us... plus Levy hasn't heard his outrageous wage demands yet.......
We'll never let him play against us. Source sounds a bit spurious- and he'd set back spurs 11mill. He wont get CL football there either so might not be interested
Shame, but if he's going to go this window, the sooner the better. Harry must use the sale proceeds well for at least one other striker, preferably two or a striker and playmaker
I've got a feeling it will be all loans for us in terms of strikers, and that never tends to work out for us.
