Surprisingly we're showing an interest in another defender, with sending out Caulker on loan and supposedly Bassong on his way this summer do we need further reinforcements in that department? We already have King, Dawson, Kaboul, Gallas, Bassong & Khumalo there.

Rather keep hold of Bassong than sign someone from a weak European league with no PL experience.

    Spot on Ensil
Until it appears on the OS take it as mere speculation.
The fact that no one from Spurs has commented tells you tons.

Tottenham will face stiff competition from clubs including north London rivals Arsenal as they attempt to sign Eliaquim Mangala.

Harry Redknapp is keen to bring the 20-year-old Standard Liege defender to White Hart Lane. His current contract runs until 2013 but reports suggest he will be allowed to move this summer.

The Gunners, Paris St Germain, Lille, Juventus and Udinese are rumoured to be among the chasing pack for the France Under-21 international.

The young defender is rated at around £4 million and Standard are likely to settle for a bid around that level.

    20 and from France?

    He'll go to Arsenal, then.

So is this actually going to be a fight for this guy then? I don't fancy Levy's chances, he's a bit short.
