First Bale feigning injury now Sandro's namesake diving in an attempt to con a ref.

I say we ban all Spurs players from the Olympics

bale's injury was diagnosed by Team GB's doctor's,nothing to do with the club, check your fact's,as for Sandro diving,Drogba could have been in a team for that event

You do realise that Spurs' holding midfielder Sandro actually scored, whereas Porto left-back Alex Sandro was the one dismissed for diving, don't you?

I don't actually have a point to make. I merely wanted to join in with all the face-slapping.

That's fine with me. Can we also ban them from ACON?

We definitely seem to be moving away from African players because of ACoN. I think them having 3 tournaments in 4 years was the final straw for us. We have Obi and Essien but Essien is a peripheral figure now.

After it was edited, the thread didn't make any sense.
Spurs have broken the Olympic spirit by having a player with a similar name to one who was dismissed for diving?
    Now that really is <doh>

As controversial a move as it may be, the tournament and African players in general would be better off if it were moved to the summer of odd numbered years.
They may be forced to play a lot of games in the evenings or find other ways to deal with the heat, but it'd generate far more interest and cause far less conflict with clubs.
I'm sure you'd see less players pulling out or retiring from representing their countries.
