I thought it was just that the new WHL isn't going to be ready for another season and that they're looking around for a 'home' ground.

    Wembley? Olympic Stadium? Milton Keynes?

I think we represent best value for money out of that lot. We'll be a cheap buy, less than half f the other premiership clubs, have a cracking squad with potential for a very respectable finish this season which could be the foundation for investment as we'd be taken mœe seriously by players and agents. Only problem is the ground issue but the council will probably sell for a respectable offer as well as the land around for development.

I think all in an investor could probably buy the club, the stadium and surrounding land for less than any of the other PL clubs.

You have to laugh at that company owner that wont give in and sell up his property to the Spuds (the last one to do so) , good on him . Only Spuds now taking him to court for a CPO .

Money always wins in the end, he's best to just take what he's offered. Look what happened to that poor farmer who's house is stuck in the middle of the m62.

Apparently the M62 story's a myth, and it was geology that caused the road to go round it. I can't help thinking he'd still have been due compensation.

From the bloke who lives there - "They couldn't build the eastbound carriageway as high as the westbound carriageway. They just kept getting landslips and one thing and another. So they decided to part the motorway and managed to save the building. That's the only reason it's still here."
