Sad to see a Spurs man go albeit a famous one.But give a thought to the 100's of thousands of fans that have passed into and out of the Spurs grounds since 1882 and no longer with us.I salute you all!!!! Great seeing that video again, he had a great voice for that commentary, nice that it came from a fan, rather than just a jobbing actor. Not getting much recognition for his role in the Vicar of Dibley though? Only thing I know about him was that he wasn't meant to be in that famous scene alluded to in another thread where Del goes through the open bar. He happened to be around the studios during a break in whatever else he was filming (Dibley probably) and asked John Sullivan if he wanted to use him in the scene. Although the skill of David Jason makes it, the hapless look on Trig's face is very funny too. RIP.
My best Trig moment was in the episode where Trig is at The Nag's Head, leaning on the bar. Mike (another deceased actor), the landlord, is running a "guess the baby's name" contest, for Rodney and Casandra's baby. Rodney is sitting in the salon, looking glum and pre-occupied. Mike: "Here, Trig! Go over to Rodney and see if you can get the name of the baby. I'll split the winnings with you." Trig goes over to Rodney, sits down, and sparks up a conversation. Trig: "Have you got a name for the baby?" Rodney; "If it's a girl, we're calling it Sigourney, after the actress; and if it's a boy, we're calling it Rodney." Trig: "Who's that after? Rodney: "Me, Trig." Trig: "Oh!" Trig goes back to the bar. Mike: "Well? How did you get on?" Trig: "If it's a girl, they're calling it Sigourney, after an actress; and if it's a boy, they're calling it Rodney, after Dave."
