Fair play to norwich, when they got promoted from the championship i thought you would be in a relegation dogfight. 43 points with 5 games left is phenomenal for a team like norwich. I think even Norwich fans will be quick to admit your team isn't full of outstanding individuals but your just such a good TEAM. And thats what it's all about. I think you might find next year tough, but as again, fair play.
Given how wrong you were, let's hope you carry on making predictions. Maybe you can be the new ColuMike...
Johnsons a great, strong player. But Howson... He's something else. What a player, what an engine. Just played 2 games in two days and didn't stop running. Top quality midfielder.
Norwich are in the PL to stay. Clubs like Wigan, Bolton and Blackburn are history. Wolves will go but bounce back.
Spurs fan, here. If our team could play with half of the commitment that your lads showed, yesterday, we would be closer to second than fifth (or sixth, at this rate). Fair play to you and I am happy that you and Swansea will be around, next season. I never realised that you are the most isolated team in the Premier League - so that makes the commitment and performance of your travelling fans all the more commendable. Indeed, I just calculated that a fan driving from Carrow Road to each of the other 19 Premier League grounds (and back) would need to cover a minimum of 7,252.6 miles in the season (and that's just for the league matches). Your round-trip to and from Swansea is over 618 miles alone. Anyway, I digress. I wish you well for the remainder of this campaign and look forward to seeing Holt leading the line for England's opening two Euro 2012 fixtures. By default, if for no other reason, John Ruddy should also make the squad. Only four English keepers played in the Premier League over the weekend and two of them (Robinson and Foster) have made themselves unavailable for selection. That leaves Hart and Ruddy as the only two top-flight English keepers.
I admire your commitment to mileage calculations! It's just staggering how far you guys have to travel to get to EVERY away game.
That's because we are REAL fans/supporters, unlike the ManU lot who only have to travel from Kent or Surrey to London to see "their" team play away! ILD OTBC
i know its unlike me to disagree with you ILD, but i think man utd fans, well, the away ones, are actually very good. its their home fans who are generally crap because they come from all over the country, the world in fact! their away support has overall remained strong as a core to its roots. great away fans, terrible home fans. you get a few of course who have travelled from yarmouth and tunbridge wells but not as many as you'd think. still, the fact remains, very, very few clubs have as good away support as we do when you take everything into consideration
Can't fly with that at all SM, I work with 3 of the buggers, my brothers another one; they will talk all day about how great "their" team is, but to my certain knowledge none of them have ever been to Old Trafford, plus they talk about Giggsy and Fergie and Co as if they know them personally. I know for sure that the only games my brother has seen "his team" play live, was in the 80's when I took him to Wembly for the Cup Finals. Glory hunters as far as I'm concerned. I don't know why you would disagree with me, you know I'm always right!!!!! ILD OTBC
well if they don't go to games thats different. i was referring to the fans who travel to away games every fortnight and to the european nights abroad - they are the true fans and generally you'll find that most are actually mancs and have man utd running through their blood. you can't label all united fans as glory hunters as they are the biggest club in the country even if you strip away all their plastic followers
I know your message is meant to be nice but these sort of comments often seem patronising. Despite lazy journalism that we 'work hard' and have ' a great team effort' we also have players who perform wonders every week. You should know how great a player howson is going to be, a despite a bizarre determination to belittle his efforts in some areas of the press, Holt is a proven PL striker, getting the best of the best defences in the league.
I also thought that was a little patronising, but as it came from a Leeds fan, I just laughed it off.
