Donald Pleasence wanted Mourinho to manage the Spuds after Martin Jol was sacked and again after he disposed of 'Arry but Maureen told him to **** off.

The first time Dr Evil tried to secure the moany one was straight after he texted Martin Jol to tell him he was sacked. Unfortunately for The bald midget, Maureen was having none of it and instead went to a big club instead at Inter Milan. The Spuds ended up with Juande Ramos.

Then when Mini Me ran out of patience with Wobbly Chops he tried to get Special case again, but was once again foiled and ended up with AVB.

The merry-go-round of mangers has continued unabated at Spurs. With the bald midget hiring and firing managers on a whim and appointing the next Turkey waiting to be shot down after a short while. If Pleasence was a smart man he would have stuck with Ramos, the only manager to deliver a trophy (albeit a minor one) since the days when everything was in black and white.

  2. The Smug One did the right thing by avoiding us like the plague. I cannot imagine that any truly decent manager would take a step down to join Spurs, not with Levy's record of sacking managers. We will only ever get managers who see Spurs as a stepping-stone up their career ladder. That means it will always be hit and miss for us, since not every "up and coming manager" is going to be good enough to manage a club the size of Spurs and with the level of ambition that we have. None of the managers we've had in recent years (including Jol) have, in my view, been the kind of manager who is going to go on and set the world on fire. Poch is definitely one of the better ones we've had in recent years, and I believe he will go on to a bigger club, when he leaves Spurs.

  5. I'm confident that you will find most Spurs fans think the same way I do. We are not deluded. We know full well that the best managers see Spurs as the next tier down from where they can find work, so why would such a manager want to take that step down? He might as well get sacked by a Barca or a Real, as by the likes of Spurs. It stands to reason.

Actually, when asked they have said that they try to distance themselves from your views as it sets them up to look like chumps.

Ordinarily you do this all on your own. But this is a fairly astute observation from you about Spurs' managers. Who would want to work with Dr Evil knowing that the almost impossible task of getting the Spuds into the top 4 will end up with them getting the sack ?

Just interested in the level of ambition you or 'we' as you put it have?

Because lets be honest I've got more chance of being picked instead of Fred for Brazil than you (or 'we') have of winning anything really significant in football. Quite funny really as the second I typed that Terry scores in the tin cup trophy (but that's surely not your ambition) - It was just funny timing!!

Oh well your great, great, great grandchildren may well see you win the league/Champions league - but by then Fred and myself wont even be a distant memory. We're be gone.....kaput.
