Was there a team award? I would have thought the UK Davis Cup team would have won that, doubling up Murrays haul.

Yes there was and yes they did. The award to the Davis Cup team was an obvious one, so, given that it was pretty much a one-man team, Murray was a rightful winner of the main award.

Good to see Kevin Sinfield get so many votes.
 
I think Andy Murray should get a knighthood. Come to think of it, I'm surprised that Jimmy Hill wasn't given one after all he achieved in football and his charity work.

Not a fan of the thing, surely they need to change it from 'personality' to anything else seeing who wins it. Agree Fury has personality, shame he uses it to show he is a vile human being making homophobic and sexist comments. Oh I'm allowed to be a bigot because of my heritage, oh that's your excuse for being a weapons grade bellend, you sir can **** right off

Some of the stuff Fury says is pretty funny. Granted, the religious stuff is going a tad far but when asked why his wife wasn't at the SPOTY event he said she was "chained to the bed" which shows he can laugh at himself, which I like.
