    All inevitable.

Football at the level is gone as a sport and gets more obviously and grossly corrupt as each year passes.

Sportswashing at it's finest, with distressing signs that it's being 'accepted' worldwide <doh>

Apparently Saudi Arabia was the only nation to bid after the only alternative 'Football Australia' said "We have reached the conclusion not to do so for the 2034 competition"

As long as countries throw stupid money around, clubs and organizations are happy enough to take it

It's a good job I genuinely don't care about it anymore. It realistically could be 100 between England hosting a world cup. They'll have the next 10 planned.

"Unopposed" = Extra coin in the coffers of the other nations that fancied a bid that don't anymore

Can’t actually remember the last time I’ve watched a World Cup. We are dismal to watch at best under Southgate.

The Australians have got from mind, they bailed on next year's Commonwealth Games because it was becoming too expensive to host, but it's very convenient that Saudi is the only bidder...

I've just struggled to remember who won the last one, so how memorable will another one in pop up stadiums where nobody wants to go because it's a backwards country be?

Wonder how much the Arabs slipped the Aussies to quit at the eleventh hour leaving only one candidate?

At one time it was an honour for your country to host the world cup but now it has become so political that people do not care any more. I hated the last world cup being in the winter as I missed out on the days of watching matches in city centers on big screen with like minded people screaming at the tv I feel like I lost my summer tournament.
As for Saudi Arabia I would rather the authorities just announce that the tournament is not to be played instead of the same problems that occurred during the Qatar tournament of poor ticket sales and poor ground atmospheres.
I know this wont happen and that all protests will fall on deaf ears but c'mon Saudi Arabia FFS.

    Shocking decision
    - this will have to be played during winter.

Will they waive the visa requirement?

I wonder if the Nayshun will be allowed to play in it as Saudi Arabia. They've already got the kits.

You can imagine all the hype and advertising in Sid James park. And let’s say it now - some who don’t like England ,” just club football” , will go to support SA

The last world cup was very good. The final was one of the greatest ever, if not the greatest. The legends ran the show in the biggest football game in the world. Mbappe bagged a hat-trick and Messi scored a brace.

You mustn't have really been interested. Anybody who was won't forget that game.

Well colour me suprised at this.

We all knew it was coming, FIFA can't stand in their way or they risk losing everything to LIV football

Couldn’t care less. I probably won’t be here anymore; either that or a dribbling wreck. Enjoy it lads and lasses! '

Its really sad the way football is governed...You would think after the Blatter/Platini crap FIFA would have been whiter than white...But if anything its worse
