Good read this. Enjoy. https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/newcastle-united-mike-ashley-sports-direct/
"If Ashley is going to do Sports Direct-esque deals in the transfer market, Newcastle will continue to be a Sports Direct football club. They may as well be rebranded Sports Direct United" For ****'s sake man, don't give the fat bastard ideas! Good article though, particularly the point about the number 9 shirt.
Its a bit exaggerated though isn't it? They reckon we spent 10.5m on Muto, Dubravka, Schar, the loans of Kenedy and Rondon, and Ki. Muto was supposedly 9.5m on his own. Dubravka 4m. Schar 3m, Kenedy fee would be at least 2m. Rondon similar. I reckon they were only out by about 50%... Not that Ashley isn't a **** running a ridiculously tight ship, but this kind of made up bollocks just dilutes that message.
This popped up in the Grauniad this evening https://www.theguardian.com/busines...potential-revolt-sports-direct-annual-meeting
Even Rafa has given up now. He never played 5 at the back last season. 4-2-3-1 every game and we finished 10th. A third and final relegation from the PL awaits and Mike Ashley will never be able to set foot in Newcastle again. The world's biggest and most disgusting parasite the footballing world has ever known. Sickening.
He played 5 at the back against Man City last season IIRC, certainly the home game. Don't expect every game to be the same this season. He'll revert to 4-2-3-1 against most teams IMHO.
There's a plan but the players aren't often not good enough to carry it out. Players who can pass the ball 5 yards cost more than £5m it would seem.
Was in Sports Direct in Carrickmines yesterday, didn't buy anything but broke out in a rash leaving the shop.
the **** is taking over, hard to find a decent Arran sweater these days without Mike's grubby digits all over it.
We wont be in it, so it wont matter ...................... unless the qualification criteria is clubs with the most inadequate, clueless ****ers running them, then we will have a by to the final!!
God it makes me shudder the place will be toxic if we do get relegated and Rafa leaves. I would actually be worried for Ashley's actual health if I was him. Imagine 3 relegation's under one owner in a 10 year period. That would really be something else. I would not imagine us coming back to be honest! On a side, more sick note maybe Ashley is actually stitching up Rafa good and proper. If we get relegated, he will blame Rafa for the relegation and Rafa will have two relegation's on his CV with us. In some sick world maybe Ashley couldn't give a toss about relegation. I don't know!
We'd bounce back. He'd make sure we did. Then start the process all over again. please log in to view this image
The SD AGM is tomorrow. Strangely enough Mike Ashley has said he won't attend. Has too much to do, apparently. It's open forum, so the agenda is all mapped out, one point is to debate the "re-election of Mike Ashley". Obviously as the majority shareholder (60.1%) I don't think anyone can do anything, but 39.9% will vote "no"! It's all very surreal. Hated by every business he owns, he absolutely couldn't give a ****. However, his "paper money" loses value every hour. £77m written off on Debenhams, 15% drop in SD share price the last 35 days. It's not specifically related, but at some point his association to the very public NUFC has to be more trouble than its' worth.
