Its not often we get the chance to go. It must be 25 years since KCCC went to Lords and the memories of Man City, Wigan and Shrewsbury with GFC are becoming faded so it was really important to go up to town yesterday even if you are not a cricket addict. Well done to KCCC for getting there even if a few GFC style decisions meant there was disappointment overall.

But, the point to talk about was the overrall experience to keep in mind for the next trip to Wembley. First of all the trains; what a shambles on the HISpeed. It was standing room only from the South Coast. Nobody could use initiative to double up the 6 car units for the morning. I hope SouthEast Trains compensate the poor guys in wheelchairs who could not get near the doors at Ashford let alone get on board. I reckon a years free travel and a commitment from the Management Team to use wheelchairs only when travelling for the next 6 months.

The second issue has to be the shame of Kent supporters barracking Sam Northeast. It was the equivalent of Gills fans barracking Bradley Dack for joining Blackburn Rovers. Bad form.

Now a positive note for GFC to model their Customer Service on. Lords was wonderful. Never have I seen such cheerful security staff. On my way out last night there must have been a dozen staff who wished me a safe journey and who thanked me for coming. This does not happen at Priestfield (although it happens at Fleetwood) and it makes customers feel good. Friday night I had an email talking me through travel arrangements timings for the day and loads of other useful info. Why can't we have something similar for a GFC away game. And last night when I got home there was another email hoping I have had a good day. The thing is these little gems cost virtually nothing but they make a sporting occasion great. Unfortunately they dont beat winning!

So, if GFC make the playoffs this season....make sure you catch a dawn train.

Well done bristol407. This should have been put in the ARGRS thread - along with other matters unrelated to GFC -- because any decent ( even reasonable ), customer service will never be related to GFC !
As for away " customer service " - with one or two exceptions, you will be able to find hens teeth in greater quantity.
