Yup and Helmut denied Ricciardo was picked to Red Bull over Kimi.

He's either going to Honda or Williams. Can't see him going to Mclaren.

Sport Bild have been pretty much 100% accurate this season, so I believe them.

Would you not class Honda and McLaren as the same? I can't see Honda appointing a Westerner at a high level.

Honda's previous problems and pullouts in F1 came from trying do it all inhouse with their own management directing the way forward. This can be traced all the way back to McLaren first time round when they decided to ditch their dominant V10's for V12's, which were heavier, thirstier and not as good as the V10's they replaced. McLaren never wanted them to do this, but Honda ruled.

They need someone who knows F1 to lead them, but would Brawn want to work with them again following the disaster that was the last couple years of Honda's F1 team and their sudden pull out?

This was my first thought when I read this story. Still, stranger things have happened in F1 - ask Kimi.

Maybe Brawn has bought the whole Honda corporation for £1

This is not uncommon with Japenese companies. Once a directive has been issued from Toyko - thats it. it is not to be questioned.

Also top jobs always go to Japs. they also get paid more for doing the same work, even within an EU division.

Brawn to Mclaren would be awsome.

Mclaren have lacked any personality of late, make stupid mistakes and generally seem to lack leadership. I also hate the chromey livery and pray every time I see it for the day they stop being such advertising whores and go off and use mclaren orange (not the rocket red obvs) as this would look amazing!

Either that or go back to the black and silvery grey.
