This latest chapter has taken me by surprise whereas the rvp thing has been going on for 6/8 months. Song has never received the praise he has imo deserved particularly last season and now if we do lose him it will become apparent to fans just how valuable a player he is, i seriously hope that these are just vicious rumours as the only quote i have read from song was that he was happy at arsenal, but i do have a bad feeling about this.
On what evidence can you make that call, song plays in a better league for a better team and he is already our player, so we wouldn't need to go and shell out £20m odd for a player who has been arrested recently however wenger has said that he isn't interested in m'villa and there are no quotes from this story so its just speculation.
I would take that manure's opinion with a pinch of salt, "Mvilla is better than Song". If that is the case, why are clubs not clamouring to buy him, or specifically, why are Barca not trying to sign him, he is afterall available. Losing Song and RVP would definitely weaken us. I suspect the ultimate aim is balancing the books!
Wenger has already said that Song has three years left on his contract, that we are not interested in selling and that there has been no offer from Barcelona. Song has said that he is happy at Arsenal. I just don't see why anyone would think that Song is going to be sold.
I really hope they (the hacks) got it all wrong, and the Barca VP is in town to discuss how they would pay off their debt and possibly BUY B52!
I doubt that we are going to trade Song away 3 days before the start of the season, when we don't have to, when he isn't pushing for a transfer, after the debacle of last year and no pressing need, because he has 3 years left on his contract. If we wanted to sell him, he would have already gone.
I keep reading post after post about this and everywhere people are saying song doesn't get the credit he deserves. I agree he is quality but doesn't the fact that everyone is saying he is quality mean we are giving him the credit he deserves? I don't get it... I see people saying he is replaceable but that seems to have become our way of thinking no matter how good a player is!
