We have absolute clarity in the principles by which we are working and believe Tony is best placed to support our continued growth as a club.
So why offer Mowbray a 2 year contract when Neil was only ever getting a rolling contract. Am i missing something.

was Neil's choice to have the rolling contract and his choice to have that clause to bugger off as soon as another team wanted him

like Moyes to me never really wanted to be here or why have that clause

I don't think neil ever wanted to be here long term and thought of us as a route back in to football. Well documented now he wanted the rolling contract and the clause to speak to other clubs.

Been wondering now though was Mowbray a target when Johnson left and speakman knew his contract was up in the summer and wouldn't be renewed. Was rumoured that keane was only offered a short term contract but turned it down, so we hired neil and were happy with the rolling contract. Maybe the club viewed it as a short term appointment as well and wanted Mowbray all along, after all he buys in to our philosophy and a good relationship with harvey when they were at Blackburn.

He's not talking about a contract length. He's talking about principles. The foundations that we're building this club on.

Data Driven, buying young, looking for value, very few fees on old players, manager not the driving factor in transfers etc.

Basically, we're not giving any head coach more control to bring in whatever players he wants.

I think the Truth of the matter is for years our recruitment has been absolutely Terrible in the Transfer Markets, wether it is a Manager picking who he wants or a Coach and DoF.

We have bought 'has beens, Don't want to be's and Never Will Be's'.

We have paid extortionist Transfer fees and exorbitant wages for players who are not fit to lace boots never mind wear the Sacred Stripes.

We all agree that there was something rotten at the SoL/AoL for years, let's give them all a chance to sort it.

KLD has only had a short time as owner but seems to be sticking to a sustainable plan which has worked at other clubs.

I for one am very happy with our signings this Summer and despite the Doom and Gloom merchants I believe The Gaffer is the Gaffer wether its AN, PDC SA or Big Tony and he should be given our trust and unreserved support until such time he proves he no longer deserves it.

Come On Mogga!!!! you've waited a long time for Big Stage to show what you can do, well you are a Mackem now and you have one now so Crack On and Make us All Proud!!

Best of Luck to you and the Lads.

    Agreed, and good point.
Had some right dog chod of players etc a few years ago.
    Chodwell a prime example FFS.

Much improvement in the club and Rome wasn't built in a day.
