headline is quite misleading I think

The 23-year-old is due to speak to Sunderland on Monday but has already held talks with Newcastle and Juventus.

sounds quite promising if true, if we actually are speaking with the lad and its not just daily fail tosh then at least we have the chance to show the lad we want him

he would improve us but I have the feeling he and his agent are looking for the money, I might be wrong mind, either way if we can get him then we need to

I don't like the look of this. At all.

I think we're in for disappointment here and he'll be playing in black and white within the next couple of weeks.

Daily Mail = Full of ****.

We also have Catts, N'Diaye and Vaughan. We should be looking to strengthen our defence now, as good as he is.

Newcastle have a lot of French lads playing for them so that could persuade him to go there.

But it will all depend on what money is offered to him. At the end of the day that is all most players care about.

I hadn't heard that and it's a little bit more encouraging. Still not all that optimistic mind. Smells of media mind games to me.

If Juve have serious interest then neither of us stand a chance

Would be pleased with this one if true but, I reckon this is either journo waffle or his agent bigging him up for better offer from the barcodes.
Personally think he'll go to Juve.

    Newcastle, Sunderland or Juventus?

If those are his choices and he isn't living in Turin in a weeks time, playing champions league football and challenging for the Serie A title, I'd say he was thick as ****.

Why would Juve want him when they have Vidal, who is absolutely superb, alongside Pirlo?

**** it, we'll buy them Sissokho and we'll have Vidal.

    Jackpot.

Can't see this one going anywhere, isn't he a similar player to N'Diaye? I reckon mon just didn't want to put all his eggs in one basket so if the n'diaye deal fell through there was always a backup, can't see us going for both especially when we already have catts (mon's captain who he has stated several times that he rates highly)...

Just seen this too. How reliable this bloke is I'm not sure. Think he has been a bit hit and miss.

In the mix is good enough for me, dont hold much hope so just a bonus if we pulled it off.

Would mean our CM are Vaughan/Gardner/N'Daiye/Cattermole/Sissoko, if Colback wants to stay he will have to adapt his game to left back as he wont make it as a CM in my opinion, reminds me of Grant Leadbitter. If he accepts that role then I am happy for him to stay, good lad and always gives his all plus he was very good at the weekend and improved going forward compared to other times he has play as left back.

That bloke is hit and miss and just because we have offered a contract does not mean he is going to sign it.

On the other hand he might come to us for 1st team football, At Juve he would be a squad player and at Newcastle he might be behind Tiote and Cabeye. He would walk into our centre mid and be first choice every game.

As for our midfield: Vaughan imo will be gone soon. Gardner is our best RB (although I would rather he was in the middle).

    Colback (left back and cover).

Leaves: Catts (always injured and suspended) Alf and Sissoko. So IMO we do need to sign someone, we have plenty of cover but no genuine quality. The above 3 on a rotation would give us that quality with Gardner, Colback and Larsson as cover.
