I think his point has some element of truth rhys, today's fans just dont like failure of any kind. we are expecting to much sometimes from the club we love, we blame everyone if we lose a match when the truth is the team we lose to are better than us on that day. Its not often these days like years ago that you hear fans say we were beaten by the better side and not give it a second thought, we blame the manager, individual players, the ref, the ground staff (not in our case as the pitch is always perfect) but you see what he means, a lot of it is down to money and greed of clubs now days, the price we fans pay for 90 minutes of football has gone through the roof and fans want to see success at any cost and if they dont then someone will get slated for it.....
Dai...I kind of think you are joking. Because a lot of what you just said is what you do! haha Maybe theres some truth for other clubs...But I do feel our relationship with our club is quite good. Rodgers is mainly responsible for this in my opinion.
Football matches are scrutinised on sites like this as well as down the pub. It's part and parcel of the game, we're lucky to have such a Family sort of club!
you've hit the nail dai, many years ago it was cheap as chips to get in, players were on a fraction of todays sky fuelled salaries, whereas nowadays fans of PL teams like spurs pay a minimum of £35 for a match, and they know players are on many millions a year and wont tolerate mediocrity, and they are right to do so IMO
No. YOU "find fault for why we never won". The reek of hypocrisy is overwhelming. Macca is right but it doesn't apply to every club. We're a small Club in a small city and that makes a difference.
everybody criticizes their football club kangaroo....its human nature to do so these days because of the price we all pay.....dont give me that its only me ...
Clubs & fans are fine , but you only have to look at the case of Gary Speed & his surviving family to see the lowlifes the media has become IMO .
