Just recovered from the euphoria of celebrating our best performance of the season. But bought down to earth by looking at the fixture list. I reckon Blackburn and Bolton could get 3 or 4 more wins each so this is gonna be tight. Hopefully Man Ure will put a few past Blackburn tomorrow to gain revenge for their defeat by them earlier. It could come down to goal difference between us and the chicken farmers (Wolves are down and Wigan have a tough next 3 games where hopefully they will get nil points. Bolton have an easy run in and i expect them to survive) I am hoping that MH will be on the dog n bone to Taggart asking them to hammer Blackburn and if we are to lose to Man Ure it is only by the odd goal. Those results could define our fate. I think we may just survive on goal difference but this is going to the last game. The ironic thing is that with the talent in this squad we could prosper next year but at the moment it looks like a Greek Tragedy where we will be undone by the Gods and the finest of margins.
You've been quiet Rebel, good to have you back. Interesting analysis, but we'll win all of our home games and Chelsea away and be fine. Big celebrations at the Stoke game.
Hmm, SB wish I could share that confidence. Did you watch Swansea today? There are no easy games but I am hoping for home win against Swans and Stoke and a draw against Tottenham. Anything less than that and....
Swansea looked OK for the first twenty minutes, but other than that I thought they looked very lightweight. We just need to do an Arsenal on them and we'll beat them. I also noticed that they are shocking at defending crosses, Sparky take note.
Didn't see Swansea, but they have been good all year. We are now on 7 points from the last 9 at home and on a roll. It is written that we will get 6 points from Chelsea, plus they will be in the midst of a thumping from either Barca or Milan and all the old divisions in their squad will be back, as they all have no time for Di Matteo.
They are being polite but what you say above is evidenced by the Chelsea players' reaction when he started jumping all over them at the end of the Champions League game (sorry can't remember which). It was slightly embarrassing!
I'm not counting Villa out now. McCliesh has a penchant for relegating teams, they have no strikers and are having to play half a youth team with some tricky fixtures.
We beat Swansea last year 4-0 and they are tarts and vulnerable in the air so i reckon we can do them I like the way we bullied Arsenal physically and it looks like MH's Africans, who are muscular athletes, are adapting mentally to the game plan. Adel getting that goal could be vital. There is something magical and comedic about that boy and it was epitomised by the Fez (Just Like That!) I been quiet because i have been so stressed out by the last few weeks that i couldnt write any spoofs so i been making art (book coming out on me this summer) Whatever happens QPR never fail to keep me guessing and after 53 years of pain and the occasional moment of joy i still love them unconditionally.
I'm just trying to look for the positives RTID, I wasn't trying to belittle your opinion. Hopefully the Swans will feel safe and won't be up for a bruising ( Yet skilfull ) encounter at HQ. There's no question as far as I'm concerned that the Swans have been the team of the season in the Prem. Beating them won't be easy, but we are on an upward curve. I expect us to finish strongly. We have a relatively fresh team that will only get better.
I thought I had it all under control, genuinely believing that every game is a new start and we can win then all. But my dentist told me that I must be stressed out as I am grinding my teeth, possibly in my sleep. As the rest of my life is no more stressful than usual, there can be only one reason. Painful dental work too, shattered a bunch of old fillings, wonder if I can get compensation.....
Must be something in that. My dentist told me the same thing two weeks ago. She said that I must be grinding my teeth at night and that I'd pushed the filling onto the nerves and needed root canal. Btw, great to see you back on board Bob. Make sure you let us know when the book is out, I'd love to see it. I'll buy a copy from you, I've had a look at your website, you've some great stuff on there. Can you send me a link to it as I've forgotten what it's called.
Cheers Rich. Just to clarify so people dont think i am a ****y ponce. The stress i am under is all about QPR staying up, not making art or dealing with ex wives lawyers or failing to pull russian lapdancers. When QPR are winning nothing else matters and if we stay up i am gonna throw a big party in Chiswick with loads of booze and Bob Hope and you are all invited.
Just watching Swansea on MOTD2, and you are spot on Nines. They play lovely football, but we showed we can deal with that at their place. Really fancy Bobby and Clint to cause some mayhem at corners and set pieces.
This is what I love about this board, you start a thread and away it goes where it wants to go; 15 posts and none about MH or SAF, great contributions! Enough said about those two elsewhere anyway. You know what the technical term for night-grinding is? You're a bruxer! ( my brother is a dentist!)
Exactly this SB73, also... Diakite will nullify Sigurdsson, Routledge and Sinclair will just bounce off Taiwo and Onouha while Hill and Ferdinand will take care of the lone striker Graham. We need Traore back to whip some great crosses in for BZ, as the Swans centre backs Williams and Monk have their feet stuck on the floor and Vorm doesn't like leaving his line for crosses. and hey presto....three points. I think that in all reality we should write off the Man U game ( I can't believe I'm actually saying that! ) anything will be a bonus, and target the Swans game for a win.
I know where your coming from cur, but at least it hasn't developed into a Taarabt or Barton thread as it usually does. Back on thread topic...I think SAF will do Sparky a favour and let him leave Old Trafford with all three points as long as we return the favour and do City in the last game of the season to hand Utd the trophy and we stay up.
I'm not complaining about the thread; I'm really enjoying it. Yes, Alex and Mark have a rather special relationship....
