I don't know how many of you can remember but it was not that long ago I was sitting in the Lower Barclay watching Stockport County beat us 2-0! and were well worth their win on the day (we were bloody shocking on the day). Now have a look the Conference League table. Not only have they dropped out of the FL last season, the poor sods have been relegated yet again this season!

Blame Carlton Palmer - worst player/manager in human history?

Sad to see the way some clubs plummet. Portsmouth and Luton are other good examples.

The good news is that Pompey are now out of admin, just waiting to see if they are docked 10 points this season or next. If this season I can see them bouncing straight back.

What would be your tips for the next one or two???

I can see Blackburn and Wolves deep in the mire if they both go down this season. Wolves are going to really hurt after spending so much on the stadium and will barely half fill it.

I'm sure I read it was applied this season, so they're in league 2 next year on 0 points. As for the next clubs to follow suit, Coventry's situation looks worrying. I live with a Blackburn fan, and he wants them to go down as it might force the Venky's out.

Sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for. Blackburn cannot be in a good financial position and would not be an attractive proposition for would be buyers. If the Venkey family walked away they could well do a Portsmouth.

Going back to Stockport I seem to remember they brought a sizeable contingent of friendly fans who were delighted to have a day out at a ' big club ' - I also seem to remember thst their fans were quite active on the old 606 site. I also seem to recall that at the time there were a lot of our fans shouting for Delia to go and just sell out to the first interested buyer - I wonder where we would have been now if she had listened to that advice.

Very good point. I don't know how they are financially to be honest, but I agree it can't be a picture of sustainability. Did you hear that the Venky's asked the manager to get the players to shoot from range more, as it looks better on TV? <doh><laugh>
