AS reckon 5 year contract and €9m a year. May well be a load of BS but if Spurs don't get top 4 with the new stadium coming in they may well have to sell to free up funds. If Ronaldo is sold to PSG, it would free up funds to purchase Bale. All the more incentive for us to finish top 4.
It may well be I thought he was de facto new Chelsea manager, why would he be negotiating Real business for next year?
Strange, then, how Cliff Jones has, yet again, come out and said that Bale will be at Spurs for a few more seasons. Now, who should I believe? (a) Scum-bag gutter-press and jealous wums, or (b) Spurs Legend and former Welsh wunderkindt, Cliff Jones? Hm. It's not an easy choice, is it!
Bale will be at spurs for another season at least, regardless of what happens regarding their top 4 chances. Remember he's only 23.
To be honest I wish my team would sign him but I don't ever see it happening. Though then I never imagined RVP signing
Ironic really! 606's biggest Wum calling someone else the same. You couldn't write it could you? Priceless!
I beg to differ. A couple of seasons back, when it was first being mooted that Bale will "inevitably" leave Spurs, I heard an interview with Cliff Jones (on radio), in which he confidently predicted that Bale would be a Spurs player for many seasons to come, whether we got CL footy or not. Cliff was confident to the point of smugness. He was proved right. So, Drogs, forgive me if I pay a little bit more attention to what Cliff Jones says than to the half-piped fantasies of jealous rivals. My belief is that Bale wants to become a Spurs legend, and that he is prepared to give the best years of his career to our club. Nothing I have seen or heard from the man himself has led me to believe anything different.
You are very naive. The best players play at the best clubs. Bale will go in the next couple of years like Modo. Why would a senile ex footballer know more about the modern football climate than journos and agents. Wake up HIAG. Cliff Jones
Nah. In a couple of years' time, you Chelsea lads will be calling Bale "Mr Tottenham." There are still a handful of players out there for whom loyalty actually means something, and we are extremely lucky to have one of them. He will, in time, become our Lampo.
Bale is so loyal I agree. He is an Arsenal fan who plays for Spurs, you can't get more loyal than that.
Why not? At least they speak the same language. I'd rather believe what Cliff Jones says on the subject than some bitter hack journo who knows absolutely nothing. Only a complete and utter muppet would believe the press over Cliff Jones.

**** me. What a load pure bollocks. 18 replies, and no-one but no-one has picked up on the possibility that this must be complete and utter BALONEY for the pure fact that managers - Jose Mourinho, Fergie, Wenger whoever - don't go around 'tying up deals' with anyone, let alone fly abroad and 'tie up' a deal in excess of 50mill. Complete ****ing CRAP.
