At a guess I'd say with it being a night game we've decided to save on police costs by reducing the away allocation given the carnage of Millwall at home a couple of years back. We'll lose out in terms of gate receipts as the capacity gets reduced when we only give the away team the upper tier so it's a strange one.

 

Would you sell out anyway? Swansea is on general sale. Why you want a 45k stadium I don't know.

We'd struggle to fill that: even our Reading game is not sold out (still £70 seats left)

I thought I'd respect Drogs' wish for it to not descend into the usual farce from your ill-informed piffle. The match sold out weeks before the kick-off, the club capped the number of season tickets and, though 45000 is obviously more than we'd need now and is probably more than the stadium will be, other London clubs, yourselves included, have shown it's possible to increase gates massively over time by improving facilities and the product on the pitch, so I'll leave it at that.

We went from 20k to 40k by 2002. United from 40k to 75



But that time has passed now. And the English market is saturated so Qpr will not enjoy a doubling and a bit of their gates
