    It is time clubs throughout Europe got together to ask the authorities to revamp the international calendar. It is ridiculous timing - after the World Cup, and clubs have just got their players back together and got going when they have to endure this disruption. Should have left it until December when all the Europa and Champions League matches are done and dusted.

    Did itv have the England friendly games last season or am I mistaken?
    The FA really need to sort these games out before they lose the next generation of supporters who won’t have any affinity with the international team.

    Great result for Los Rojos this evening but I have a feeling the 6-0 scoreline could be a tad flattering. After all, the WC finished less than 2 months ago, while the new season has barely got underway. It is unfair on both clubs and the international sides to have the calendar arranged as it is. There is another break in October!! Ridiculous!!!
