I hope this serves as evidence to some of the Arsenal supporters that wanting to buy a player and having the money available, is not a guarantee that you'll make the signing. Perhaps if Rednap had been willing to double the offers he made then he might have made more headway - unfortunately for him (and for our humour) Tottenham are no Portsmouth.
