Has anyone noticed that our first eleven will comprise of ten southerners with Stephens being the lone hard northener. Is this a conscious decision on Powell's part i.e to have players who have close links with the area so are nearer to family etc or just coincidence? Obvioulsy Alonso and Bover would not apply here but we must be the only team with eleven English born players as their starting line up? (I believe although Wiggins has represented Wales, he was born in Hillingdon.)
Eleven home-grown players - useful for when we get into Europe. Note from Doctor - "Unfortunately, Tewks will not be able to post for a while, as his delusional state has taken a sudden turn for the worse, he's now sleeping peacefully and will be kept sedated until the start of the season. We can do nothing more for him."
Also, unless i'm mistaken, apart from BWP, all the players are white. Considering Powell is the manager.
I dont care where they come from or what colour they are as long as they can play football and are prepared to run through a wall for CAFC
Yes indeed Shuffles, just a big heart, a dedication to the shirt and enough skill to get us out of this mire are what's needed. Stu - you might want to think about rewording that post, it don't read right at all.
