Wow are record at Southend is piss poor well they haven't won in five games and we haven't won in four and having only scored one goal away from home with zero points not the sort of place we really want to go when we haven't won there in a billion years hopefully the players have taken a long hard look at themselves and can start putting in some effort. I'm not sure about this game on paper its got a draw written all over it but that said I can't really see us winning it either so I won't be to negative and say a 2-2 draw. Harrold and Smith to score.
good thread shocking stats away at southend. i think we will lose to be honest. until we get a striker/winger we will continue to struggle on.
ward has previously said he needs to manage the strikers as each of richards, clarkson, harrold and brunt is not fully fit. who do you think will start vs southend? they all need game time! harrold: he played the full 90 vs hartlepool so thats good for him. he really needs to start vs southend to continue boosting his match fitness. brunt: needs game time. he got injured at the start of the season and missed a lot of games. made his return and then got injured again. not played at all since the plymouth game which will be 20 days ago this friday when we face southend. clarkson: needs game time as only played 25 mins of football since the plymouth! 25 mins in 20 days is not enough at all. he along with brunt desperately need game time. richards: who ward has said he will use as a striker. he last played 90 mins at newport. since newport he missed 4 games on the bounce: the york, northampton, 82 ltd and plymouth games. he has though been involved in the last 2 games playing 73 mins at dag & red and 86 mins vs hartlepool. 159 mins in total since 17th of aug. he clearly needs more game time to boost his match fitness along with harrold. questions then gasheads..... we ward play just the 1 striker against southend playing ultra defensive like he has been doing away from home this season or be more adventerous and play with 2 strikers? who do you think he will start? who would you start?

The view can be obstructed by a number of pillars although a large following can generate an excellent atmosphere. Away fans usually drink in the Blue Boar pub which is located on the main Victoria Road, just up from the ground Last visit: Rovers last visit to Roots Hall was back in April; the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
Yeah we do draw at Southend quite often but there are worse grounds for us ie Bournemouth and Wrexham. Two 1-0 wins in the last 10 years, with the winners being scored by David Savage and Andy Williams. In that first game in December 2003 we managed to hold on despite going down to 10 men, helped by Southend missing 2 penalties, and that was under Graydon as well! As for the present, well we could just do with a point away from home after how badly we've started what with 4 straight league defeats.
Anyway check this out funny as **** didn't put it in The Skull and Crossbones Pub thread as nobody goes on there http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/early-doors/police-rocket-speed-escalators-control-rowdy-fans-084402071.html?vp=1

I really can't help myself, I just have a very good memory for football. Wish my memory was as good for other things!
