Hello lads, hope you're enjoying the season.

I'm looking for a Southampton poster to write a Lawro style prediction piece for the Sunderland match thread. In past seasons I've been using Lawro and Merson on the threads, but this season I decided to **** them off and use real posters from Not 606, it's proved very popular from both Sunderland and opposing posters and helped to promote constructive debate and friendly cross board banter. So if you're not a Wum, have a head for footy and are free in the coming week to write a small piece I'd be most grateful. You aren't required to bury your bias and are encouraged to divulge your opinions both on your own club and Sunderland. Provided you maintain respect for both clubs your post will not be edited and will be added to the match thread as it comes.

    Would anybody be interested?

Here's the thread to our game Vs Spurs where we had two excellent write ups.

Also, If you'd like a Banner creating for your Match Thread or would like any Stat shots, just let me know and I'll knock you something up, also, of course, you're free to include the prediction writes up too.

    Bri :)

Maybe a Mod could step up to show a bit of cross board goodwill? :D

I supose we ought to make the author aware that we don't do anything on this forum until 3 days from the particular match. With a bit of luck he'll read this.

Nea problem marra, I'll bump it. Thread doesn't go up till Friday anyway. Thursday if I've got time.

We sold out our allocation, should be a good match. Not sure what Sunderland will turn up like.

I predict it'll be frustrating for us and more WBA than Newcastle at home!

A scrappy 1-0 win for us with our only non-scoring midfielder finally breaking his duck will do for me!! :1980_boogie_down:

For some reason I thought it was just over 3,000, though your website says just under 3,000 taken. Maybe they didn't sell out in time to send up a final batch.

Either way, decent effort. I'm going to Hull on the 1st Nov and I'm quite sure we won't match that.

I read we've sold an allocation of 2500, but we sold out before the weekend. There's lads on our board who want tickets. Wonder why we didn't get the last batch? We'd have sold them. Sounds like a bit of a **** up from SAFC in that case.

Sunderland have sold out their allocation of more than 2,500 tickets for next Saturday's match with Southampton.

The club has announced that its full allocation of 2,549 tickets have all been sold for the Premier League clash at St Mary's on October 18, despite fans having to travel almost 700 miles for the game.

The Black Cats boasted one of the strongest away followings in the Premier League last season, with supporters travelling almost 10,000 miles to watch Gus Poyet's side play around the UK.

I fancied Hull but it's on a week night so Stoke it is unless I can get on a bus then I'll do both.

Hmm I'm wondering if our ticket allocation has changed. I'm sure that earlier reports I've read (e.g. footballgroundguide.com) suggest roughly 3,100. Sorry about that!

I don't know marra, but it wouldn't be the first time we haven't gone back for the last batch when we could have sold them.

Does it include a prediction? Will it include your take on Sunderland? Could I take snippets? :)

It includes various bits and bobs and a prediction at the end. You may take snippets off it if you like to.
Below is a link to a previous match preview and you can let me know if that is the kind of thing you are looking for.
