Against the might of Coventry...... Gnabry has done nothing wrong and should keep his place. Brings much needed pace and power to the side.
They play on different sides Anyway this is probably one of the better times to play Soton at their place and though they'll give us a game, we should still win.
Well we can use the same logic, against the 'might' of Coventry, Gnarby couldn't score. Podolski is back-fit and scoring again, so he needs to be starting, you need experianced players like him in the team, ahead of the likes of Gnarby, Gnarby has done well, but he's certainly no Podolski.
And for f**ks sake, I know Podolski and Gnarby play on different sides, but if Gnarby plays, Cazorla who can play either left or right, will start left, meaning Podolski doesn't feature, and if Gnarby doesn't feature, Cazorla simply takes right spot, and Podolski slots into his normal position. My mistake for not realising a few of you on here can't put 2 and 2 together.
Not sure if I'd rather start Pod & take him off after 60 or put him on at 60. He won't be up to a full PL 90 min, but he should manage more than half an hour. I think for me, I'd start him.
Hopefully should be a good game. We have Dejan out which is a big loss at the back but I'm confident we will score. Just the small matter of keeping you lot out at the other end!
I'd also start Podolski. I like Gnabry but thought he was a bit flat against Coventry. To be fair though either one is a great option to bring on as a sub when you need that injection of drive. As Oxocube said it's a good time to play Saints after losing one of their defensive lynchpins and the nonsense with Osvaldo. I think it will be a really tight game but hopefully we'll edge it. Oh another note, who else got mesemerized by the gif? I was stuck on it for a good minute or two!
don't actually know if cazorla's ever played on the right for us... would be interesting to see if he could work with sagna down that side. but i agree, gnabry on the right and podolski as a super sub would be better for me. also, don't forget, we have ramsey and arteta back to come off the bench if need be.
You'd like to think he'd be pretty handy there on account of playing so many games for Malaga in that position.
Saints fan here. Wanyama being back should make us a lot harder to play through. Him and Morgan are one of the best midfield partnerships in the league.
Arsenal can play the long ball ugly route these days if needed, ;-). Plus with Arsenal these days, we have so much firepower in midfield, that many teams can put us at bay for longs periods, but not the whole 90 minutes.
True, but we did well at the Emirates. If it wasn't for a stupid mistake from Boruc and a needless shirt tug we may have got something out of the game.
