Both are having a tough season in the English top flight at the moment and really could use the confidence boost of a good cup run. They both shook off some dodgy form to make their way through the third round against lower-ranked sides. Who will want this more? Both have to be a little more concerned about their league form than this. Southampton have collected only the one win in their last twelve games and that win was out at Fulham in the last round of the FA Cup. There has just been a lack of power going forward and they haven’t even all that stable at the back, certainly not enough to have such a poor output going forward. The Saints have collected only the two clean sheets in their last twenty games now across all competitions so they are going to be under some pressure in this one. Their home form is pretty patchy and across the entire season they have only won three times at home. Watford will be hoping that a change of boss serves them well. They got rid of Marco Silva after their poor run of form and have brought in Javier Garcia. please log in to view this image The Hornets have been in a big old mess it is fair to say. Early on this season, it looked as if they had so much promise but with a W2 D2 L8 record in their last twelve games in all competitions, that has passed them by. They did land a good home win over a much-changed Bristol City side in the third round of the FA Cup before locking horns with Southampton in that league draw. Team News: Troy Deeney and Heurelho Gomes have not trained this week. Molla Waguè, Craig Cathcart, Younès Kaboul, Miguel Britos, Kiko Femenía and Will Hughes are all out. Tom Cleverley, meanwhile, falls into the touch-and-go category. Our Officials. Cheers OFH. Let's see if Gracia can do any better with the leftovers compared to the Ex. Our injury list can either make you laugh or cry. Would be great to get a win, a cup run is more than welcome in my books. Unfortunately, will probably miss the game as I have a triathalon this weekend.
Guess down to radio with no streams being the cup But should be an interesting game. Worst result might be a draw for both sides so let's hope it gets settled in one go. As for a result I haven't a clue. Just hope we play well and don't pick up any red cards. Tx OFH and enjoy everyone
Would be HAND y if Doucoure played, but as the games AT Southampton, maybe a groin strain develops tomorrow morning ?
I love everybody, its those owners who dont seem keen on anything Brit - apart from the money it brings 'em in and that Chief Exec or whatever he calls himself
Alas we would have to start with seven in accordance with the LotG. Whether there are rules to the contrary within the FA Cup I don't know.
Just been taking a look at the Saints board where they are discussing the weather for this afternoons game. I rather liked the following comment. "Personally I am against men wearing warm thick clothing....they take up enough blooming room as it is. Should be a width test before you can get through the turnstiles." Last time I was at the Vic I was sharing my seat with the neighbour so do know the feeling.
Performances haven't been good lately with 11 on the pitch (well when they can keep them all on for the 90 mins), maybe try 7 only and ask them to behave
One of the downsides of being built like a rake is that some people seem to believe they then have a divine right to take whatever space you leave. Bus seats and football stadia tend to be fertile breeding grounds for such behaviour. I could say something I suppose but it's less hassle to quietly stew and then bore everyone silly about it on social media....
