Harry Redknapp’s side travel to St Mary’s still looking for their first away point of the 2014/15 Barclays Premier League campaign, after heavy defeats to Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in their previous two outings. Redknapp, however, will be buoyed by the character his side showed in their last home fixture versus Stoke City, where the R’s came from behind twice to salvage a draw – and the fact the Hoops are yet to taste defeat in their five matches at St Mary’s. Southampton have made a flying start to the season though and if results go their way this weekend, Ronald Koeman’s side could hit the summit of the division this weekend. They currently sit in second place, having won three and drawn one of their opening five league fixtures, with a midweek triumph at Arsenal in the Capital One Cup only serving to enhance their ever-growing reputation. The goals of new signing Graziano Pelle have been key, but arguably the biggest plus-point of their season so far is the form of Morgan Schneiderlin, who is once again proving his class in the heart of the Saints midfield engine-room. Speculation linking Schneiderlin with a move away from St Mary’s led to him handing in a transfer request over the summer, but with a dream move to Tottenham Hotspur rebuffed by the Saints board, he stayed put and has since made a great start to the current campaign, scoring three goals in five appearances for Koeman’s early-season high-fliers. Rangers’ injury problems show little sign of relenting ahead of the weekend, with Joey Barton and Jordon Mutch likely to be ruled out with hamstring injuries. Ditto...Im in love Nice work Mr Nines. Pinder looks a bit chubby anyway !! good bit about the game too
Seems we are delighted to be distracted from the football by almost anything......the Southampton fans are cockily confident on their board. They probably have a right to be, but the lack of humility doesn't make me warm to them. As I've been saying for the last 3 seasons, we have to 'click' some time........today would be nice. COME ON YOU R's!!!!!!!!!
Seen nothing this season so far to suggest we are going to get anything other than thumped today. Let's hope the last week's training will conjure something very unusual, a QPR Premier League away win...
I'd like to think the same, but I'm not getting ahead of myself just yet. I'd like to echo your above post but replace the last word 'win' with 'goal.'
Last time we visited St Scary's we had no right to expect anything either but we came back with all 3 points and put together our only winning run (of two games!) since we returned to the Prem. I'm not writing this one off yet, also because they're not 'established' top 6 like our last two away games I don't expect Harry to be all deference and tugging the forelock. Rangers win...

This is a bit old school, wearing our first kit even though we are away, because there is no clash. Also nice to see Southampton reverting to their proper stripes. Rio captain, only surprise is that its taken 6 games......
