<peacedove>Liverpool away to Southampton last game of the season. Southampton already relegated , following our failure to beat Aston Villa on Saturday we are no longer fighting for the top four finish but to finish fifth. We need
to beat Southampton to be sure of the fifth position. We are disappointed, but doing better than Chelsea at least.

    GAME: SOUTHAMPTON V LIVERPOOL
    TIME: 16:30
    VENUE: ST MARY'S
    TV: BT SPORTS 1.

REFEREE: NOT YET APPOINTED FOR THIS GAME

I'd say neither side will care.

Southampton will be 20th but desperate I'm sure to get it over with and also just not piss off the fans any more than they have.

we are 5th, we might be 6th if Brighton win 2 and we lose this. klopp will want a good end to season but players imo already know 4th is long long gone so it's all about pride.

I just don't know. I think it'll be one of those nobody cares type of games.

Depends what happens to the Utd's in their penultimate games.
We could still be in with a remote chance of just missing out on the last day like last season.

We left it too late, defeat at Bournemouth was a disaster.

The good news is that this will be the last time we will have to see klppp make the pointless sub where he brings Milner on …

6th is not bad for Brighton, they have nothing to lose and they are going to give it a go .As for Manchester City, they are unlikely to play all their top players because of FA and Champions league finals. They do not want any injury at this stage of the season.

Look man city fixutres are a bit tough.

I would personally take a rest wednesday but then they go 1 game per week. any more rest than that as you really risk losing momentum.

The big prize is june 10th which is absolutely ridiculously late isn't it?

You don't think Klopp will still be around when we bring Milner back for 24/25 season?

Does this game even matter any more... no way up and no way down. 5th it is. Southampton isn't climbing off the bottom rung.

I think we should experiment and have a little fun. Try Becker in midfield, he's got foot skills. Give Milner spikes for the front of his boots and see how long it takes the ref to notice. Perhaps try sneaking a 12th player onto the field- if we bring on Ox as the 12th man it won't be cheating.
